It's looking much, Much Better! It's definitely visually improving over the months. Pledged.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an open world similar to Skyrim or Gothic 3. With traditional map travel being an option as well.

It's looking much better! I think the beards could use a little work, as they kind of look like they're glued to the face (verses being grown).... but all in all, the graphics look supreme.

Geek.com Well uh, heh heh, WB is doing a great job with this whole Lord of the Rings video game thing.... yes siree. Not one darn thing is going wrong. I just have to say that especially their packaging department is just soaring......... in the realms of failure...

...yet through it all, the tender ray of hope remained lit, and the hearts of all those gathered were lifted in unison joy, for, no matter the foe, and no matter the oppression, hope is a weapon that not even the most powerful enemy can take from them.

It started with the rain; rain that came in waves of refreshing life. The armies of Middle Earth breathed deeply of the crisp air, and all was good, for a time. And after the rain, came the sky; the clear, bright sky with the sun brilliantly rising in the east. The song of the earth resounded in its presence, and the mountains brightly shimmered with the dawn of the glorious day. Grass waved lazily in the breeze, and snow fell majestically on the highest peaks. And all was good, for a time. Men and Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits, Orc and Uruk-hai; all lived in relative peace in this world. As word of this strange new land spread and gathered in this place, so did the travelers who desired to see this sight. But all was not good.
There was one; one full of corruption and greed. Jealousy and hate were his weapons. And he was many. Dawn cracked green with envy, the sky dark with remorse. No wind stirred to respite the ones who had worked so hard to build this land. The hateful one, full of envy and remorse for the time he had tried and failed to capture this land, spoke words of despair to the weary craftsmen. With his truth-twisting tongue, he summoned hopelessness in the hearts of the crafters. And all hope seemed lost. Standing on the crest of the highest hill, with hellfire burning in the skies from where he had walked, he gathered a neigh unfathomable army, a hoard containing naught but lust and greed; a hoard full of malicious contempt and the desire to take. The dark one spake but two, inevitable word, “Destroy it.”
It was at this moment, when all hope seemed lost, that the elite craftsmen looked behind them, and there… was an army. An army comprised of Men and Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits, Orc and Uruk-hai, all together with one purpose; to rid the lands of this evil scourge, and to restore freedom, purity, and honor to Middle Earth. This army was over 13,000 strong… and this army was fully willing to fight to the death…

And So, the Battle Commenced

I know I've mentioned this before, but I'll say again, I'd be much more tempted to purchase this if it provided freedom of movement (à la Morroiwnd). As it is then, will modding capabilities be provided? As nice as an infinite world is, It'd still be nice to be able mod it (and possibly freedom of walking... ;) ).

The game looks incredible. :D You're doing an excellent job. I do have a question though, is the game free roam in the TES sense? And if so, how large is the world size?

Not to nitpick or anything, but in terms of infinite, as far as I can gather, this world will keep going and going and going and never stop, yet you can always go back to previously visited locations... so basically, I could go forty bazzilion miles east and wind up in a random town, and if someone else went the same direction forty bazzilion miles, they'd wind up in that same town. I guess what I'm trying to say here, is, won't something this massive (infinite) take up quite a bit of Hdd space, or will the logarithms be small and generate everything as it comes?

So, just asking here, will there be an optional movement system (non-grid-based) similar to Morrowind? I understand how nostalgic it would be to do the dungeon crawler thing again, but in recent years, I've succumbed to the strong desire to explore every single nook and cranie of every place I visit.

As far as I know, PeachyKeen has gone to college and doesn't have a lot of time for this. I wouldn't call this necessarily dead... just postponed.

If you know the basics of scripting, you can use Mwedit to edit the scripts used for the lute. Using the guide here Mwse.wikispaces.com you can substitute for the keys you want to play it with. Other thing you could try is setting your Speed to 0 while playing it.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and consider this to be dead. I'm sorry, but the current Morrowind engine just isn't built to have multiplayer functionality. The only way it has been done is with one player being an npc in the other player's game, and that in and of itself is extremely buggy. I would consider Sourceforge.net to be the current and most promising advancement in Morrowind Multiplayer abilities.

Also, are you a one man team, or did you and other people make your new engine? On your forums, I cant seem to find a way to post a new topic or do anything..... :/

I Went ahead and joined the forums on your site..... one thing though, you should cut out the sh*t word on the forums, it tends to send people away. Also, is that the only template you have? A more Morrowindish one would be better, white and blue aren't exactly imaginative. I hope a community starts to develop, I don't know a blasted thing about codeing though, so I cant really help you much in that respect. :/

ok, I think this is my last question.... but.... what would happen if this got really popular and about 50000 people came and got on it and you ran out of room on Morrowind for all the different people... will you have this set up to where there will be a few thousand servers of maps, and only a few hundred people can get into each map?

This sounds like a huge thing, are you using Morrowind Online's basics for this, or have you managed to rig up something else?

I sounds immense! If Mw was to be mmorp, how would mods be handled? Would it be that Each person could play their own mods, but, say if I had TR, and went there, where would the other Humans go? It seems really complex, but I wish you luck.
