Description

Developed in the end of 1941, KV-7 was attempt for improved KV tank. Two variants of KV-7 were developed, differing only in armament. Both variants were in December 1941 send along with KV-8 into Moscow for joint testing and display to Stalin. Both variants were not recommended for service.

KV-7-1, Variant I, was heavy turretless tank developed on chassis of KV-1. Variant I was armed with one 76mm gun and two smaller 45mm guns, which would be fired singly or in salvo. After Stalin didnt approved the production of KV-7, it put an halt to idea of multi-gunned KV, and most likely other armored vehicles.
