Description
Initially known as T-220 or Objekt 220, KV-220 was experimental heavy tank and base for the KV-3. Only two prototypes were made, and send to battle with KV-1 turrets, and subsequently destroyed.
KV-220-1 was a base for KV-3 with KV-1 turret (these were truly build), with longer chassis and seventh support roller. By the plans it had to mount 85mm gun, but when they were sent into war with KV-1 turrets, their weaponry was that of its lighter cousin, 76mm gun.
