Also called SU-T-26, SU-26 was produced at the end of 1941 at Leningrad as mobile artillery trailer. There are speculations about how many vehicles were build, 14 or 15, and about their armament. Three remained in service till 1944.
SU-26 was variant of T-26, a self-propelled gun with pivoting 76mm gun, feature not common among SPG of that time. There are speculations about the armament of the few produced vehicles. Some sources tells SU-26 was armed only with 76mm howitzer. Other claims out of 14 two were armed with 37mm gun.
