I started to work with CryEngine Sandbox twelve years ago. (damn, already 13 years?) I also work with Game Maker and I'm learning with Unreal Engine 4.

great work! can you decrease the alphablend from shadow (ie make shadows stronger/darker?). i would make them nearly black.
maybe you could try for the street also a real asphalt texture, tiled, like you already have for grass and roofs ? or is this looking to "strong" ?

Sorry for late reply, I've been playing Just Cause 3 all day long since Christmas. Damn, that game is awesome!
Ok, I can try it, the alpha of shadows was made to be changed easily.
Most of the environment textures are not the final ones.
I'm not sure what exactly you mean with the asphalt, along with grass, they are made a same way, just the asphalt is smoother. Roofs will be definitely different, those textures are just "borrowed for early development".

Description

An aerial gameplay view. Newly with shadows (except buildings). As you can see, the traffic AI needs a radical improvement, they often loose their track and block the traffic lane.
The game supports different angles of view.
The street still lacks details like mailboxes, trash or even street lamps.
