Just your day to day Strategy and FPS player with a sense of humor and independence. I'm also the in-field Commander of the casual clan JSSG. These days I mostly fiddle around with Warhammer 40K stuff, read up on Lovecraft and Tolkien, and try to build a personal physical archive of enjoyable movies and TV series. I'm making a living of being a radio board operator and station engineer. If you see a "Vadronus Prime" running around, that's my alternate gamer-tag. Got this as a really unexpected birthday gift yesterday from my grandfather (who I started turning towards Warhammer 40K via the Space Hulk card game Death Angel).
I plan to make the Dark Angels in modified League of Sovereigns colors with certain figures painted to be similar to the Chapter Masters. I might also put hints on the figures for other friends (like writing "Corvus" and "Rivarius" as the names on some of the soldiers). The Chaos guys I'll paint up to be a modified Black Legion; black and pale gold with hints of green. IE the Chaos guys I play as typically in Soulstorm. I do plan on painting up the Chaos Lord and some of the more important soldiers akin to how I imagine our Chaos RPG characters would look (Lord Malak or Geoffrey Fulcrum for example, the Cultist leader (he looks nice honestly) being Delta's renegade, and someone else for Mikom's unmade dude. Might just paint a Chaos Marine or two in "Mikom" colors such as deep red/off white/black) for extra variety.
This will be fun. I'll post pictures of the painting process when I actually get enough free time to do such a thing.
However, since I'll be out of town next week I don't see me painting until at least after that.

I can totally see Matt's Lord Malak as the Chaos Lord here with that pimpin' cape, big-*** power sword, and properly evil plasma pistol :P
Upon closer inspection, this version I linked has one more figure; a Chaos Champion. That would be cool to have, but oh well. I got what I got, and I'm still a very happy man.
Wow, that's quite a neat gift! I imagine it will take quite some time to assemble and paint all those figures.
So you'll be painting them in the League of Sovereigns colours. Can't wait to see how that turns out.
(btw, if you are going to paint one of those marines in my colour scheme, I suppose I could do a quick photoshop paint-over of a marine as a reference)
I remember your colors from Space Marine and Soulstorm, but hey more sources are fine by me if ya wish to make one.
