Just thought I'd post an update - the mod is still very much in development. The main animation set is complete and we're currently getting them in-game. We do need a mapper to help us create some new maps, so if that interests you, do get in touch via thinge@iosmod.co.uk.
We definitely won't rush it! Once it's done, we'll release, but we aren't setting timescales at this point. Keep on checking back!
Still alive, but in a 'limbo' phase at the moment. We're currently testing the next version, version 2, and this means that beta 1 is no longer played. Rest assured that you'll see a re-launch of IOS:S late-2012/early-2013. :)
Server browser fix, this sorts the problem that Valve created. Thanks goes to No More Room In Hell mod team. The settings just go in the server.cfg file.

Hey guys, see the blurb below and let me know if any of you can help! It's good stuff that would fit in well into a portfolio.
We are currently in the process of developing beta 2 of International Online Soccer: Source, a mod for the Source engine. We are overhauling the whole game however we've had problems with our previous modeler who completely disappeared. Whilst it would be ideal that we found a modeler who wanted to do it for the fun of it and to get their work out there, we understand some may want a monetary incentive, which we will try and scrape together from within the core community if required. In terms of the models needed, we need one player model, a goal keeper model (same as the player but with a few alterations - essentially just a submodel) and a new lower poly ball model (our current is unoptimized).
IOS is nearly 10 years old as a mod and we'd like the next release to be the biggest and the best. Our first release gained huge exposure and we anticipate the second release to do the same. One guarantee that I can make is that your content WILL get released into the public domain in a full release, which doesn't happen with a lot of mods due to development ending before release or such.

You can see the old version at Iosmod.co.uk but it's incredibly dated (the model content is pretty much the same as the original HL1 release). The game has huge potential and we're going to fully capitalize on that.

I would like to play this, but it keeps crashing my PC mid-game. My mate is having the same problem. No chance of me playing it until that's fixed because as soon as people join the game it pretty much just crashes. Doesn't crash on my own, but with other people it does.

IOS:Source will be release some time today (30th March) and will be available from www.iosoccer.com when that happens. Hopefully there will be lots of file mirrors also, so don't worry about fileplanet.

I got naked just to play IOS once. Good times. Vote IOS.
IOS is great.It's already one of the most fun mods and I can easily see why.To a Football/Soccer fan who likes Half-Life this is almost a dream come true and to the normal Half-Life fan it's equally appealing.If you haven't already done so I suggest that you download the mod now as it has been released.
Before I got to play Monkeystrike I thought since it's cartoony it would be crap,but the team have pulled it off very well.
The maps are all great,Arbee always manages to find a use for a texture that leaves you thinking 'how the hell did he come up with that?' and Pinki + Frie have created some great maps too.There's also a great looking circus map by EjrulF that I myself believe will make the release.
