The Half-Life 2 version of the successful International Online Soccer mod. It's a third person football mod that allows each player to take up a position on the pitch and play in exciting multiplayer football matches.

This patch is for those people running the IOS server only. For convience we have also included a link to the client below.
- Update: Dribbling, linked to view making it more like IOS beta4 and more responsive.
- Update: Increase mouse1 kick strength a little.
- Update: Made bot keeper goal kicks spread more.
- Update: Made keeper parry sometimes.
- Update: Made possession count a bit for each kick.
- Update: Increased ball update rate to 60Hz instead of 10Hz.
- Fixed: Custom team problem - though server needs the kit.
- Fixed: Voice comms, that were broken in 1.0a/b.
- Fixed: Clean tackle bug.
- Fixed: A problem where passing momentarily stops the defender from kicking/blocking.
- Fixed: Spectator bug.
- Fixed: Keeper now allowed to take foul in their own box.
- Fixed: Stopped keepers picking up after GK.
- Fixed: Freezing keepers during penalty.
- Fixed: Other keeper not being blocked at penalty.
- Added: Slight delay to kick ability at corners etc, to prevent doubletouch.
- Added: Alternative collision - old collision by setting "mp_collisiontype 1"
- Added: mp_headbounce default 5, and mp_headbounceTimer <3> secs

new patch 1.0c changed much, ppl should try the game now again, the dribbling is more like in ios beta 4 now and there are many bug fixes that ppl annoyed
the mod is just really fun, a great time all around... another mod i wish would be updated by steam
i can't see the ball, just when it's on goalkeeper hands... wat should I do?

How do I install the patch/ where do I extract it?

If I just play the game not hosting servers do I need the 1.0a patch?
Downloaded and installed.
IMO, the game is either very buggy or very un-finished. Not only is there massive amounts of teleporting footballers, the kicking system and slide tackle systems are laughable. I love the idea of the mod, but this is ridiculous. I will not be playing this mod again until the fundamental gameplay elements are either completely rebuilt, or upgraded to a reasonable level. I'll be waiting for 1.1.
