It's been like gone 2 months, gone past Easter. Anyone got news for the next version? I'll be honest I'd rather have a buggy version with new stuff as we've been waiting for what feels like years, haha! I hope the mods sort it out soon! I can't wait.

I've encountered a bug that seems specific to the Grim Age server, not if I host a game myself.
On some occasions if either player takes damage their screen goes black and they lose all control of their character. The character the proceeds to unequip their weapons and makes a beeline for their team's spawn point. Once they've done that, the player regains control of their character.

I'd also like to levy some criticisms I have about the mod.
Warriors of chaos are too ******* slow. The deadliest trained warriors in the whole of the old world, imbued with the power of the darkgods are slower swinging a sword than a human is with a giant 2 handed weapon, like, what? All the chaos weapons are slow as an ogre's brain function except for the berserker, and he can't block so he's pretty useless.

Chaos equipment is too expensive it's ridiculous. With 1000 gold I can buy a tier 2 sword on a marauder, where as an empire player can kit out their greatswords with decent weapons, which is just annoying.

Chaos get chaos champions for free. What the hell? I can take an armour 85 class with 3 shields and a hand weapon that does 60 damage for free? ******* sure I'll take it.

what should be happening is the Higher end Warrior classes should not have that good equipment for free, and the marauders should have reduced prices.

Also, the server is unplayable with the low population the mod has. A battle server with 2-4 people? So fun! The game-mode NEEDS to be changed to TDM or give us the ability to vote for bots so we can actually get some enjoyment out of it.

Can I suggest something? Perhaps create a steam group. Hell, if you want, I'll make one for you, but give the name of the server and then set up events for large groups of people to know when there a full servers? It worked with the Source mod Exterminatus, it really took off due to the amount of players the steam group pulled in.

When I select 'Join new game' it gets stuck on 886 servers loading and never loads any.

Yeah, no matter how many times I download it doesn't work. It doesn't work for either of the latest 2 downloads.

Whenever I download and open the Winrar archive I get this message 'ACOK_1.4.rar: Unexpected end of archive' When I then install the game file and launch the game, all the art pieces (the start-up loading screen and main menu) are replaced with the default ones and when I click start a new game it crashes and comes up with missing texture reports. I play on steam so I presume the game is up to date, is it something wrong with me Winrar or is it to do with Windows 8?

Download Winrar or change the file extension to whatever Zip format you use

Probably the standing stll one where you hold the rifles like a pike. That annoys me a little too.

These guys are cool but the fact that the armour costs a good 100K makes it utter unobtainable, the only time I saw it was on an admin and I noticed there wasn't even a backpack on it.
The faction Imperium of man is pretty cool but it could use a lot lot more work, like maybe scout armour for the marines, a Commissar class or something, making the lispistol (Not lasgun pistol) an actual pistol not a rifle. The only upside to taking the pistol is the badass shooting position.
I do enjoy the faction, but the constant 'pew pew' of the lasguns is annoying when basically every bit of canon refers to it as 'The crack of lasfire' not 'pewpewpew'.
If this seems incredibly bitchy, I am a giant 40K nut so I get annoyed when the lore is screwed with.

Yeah, the new Cron lore is totally different, this is what happens when you get Matt Ward to rewrite a 3rd edition Codex. I did ask him about the entirely new refix at Gamesday last year, he told me that he thought the old lore was to thin and it needed to be expanded. Honestly, I like it. I started playing 'Crons when the 5th edition book came out so I know my way around the new lore.

Only 3 Primarchs? No Leman Russ coming along and making you batshit crazy Space Wolves? No Corax turning you into 'strike from the shadows' Raven Guard? No Lion El'Jonson turning you into the uber fanatical Dark Angels? By the way, the IoM are not 'near collapse'. That's why the Inquisition exists, to keep the mighty Imperium intact.

You could make one with the Titan Power Fist and the plasma cannon, giving it the ability to wreck in Close Combat aswell.

Because sending the Emperor's Battle barge into combat is the ultimate heresy. IMHO, an inquisitorial flagship would have been more lore friendly.
