I think he refers to the chaosy reaver titan version already present in the UA mod. You might want to rip it and use that as a base to work with.

Regarding the Chaos Reaver, I know 3D model work isn't exactly easy or simple.
But MAYBE, "porting" the updated animations to its Chaos counterpart isn't as complicated and/or model-breaking, and would certainly be an upgrade for the chaosy titan.

well actually i think it would be easier to add the Chaos-themed changes to this instead of doing the whole high-resolution remake job all over again. all it needs is some twisting and turning of certain parts, spikes (and other Chaos-y ornaments) in the right places and somewhat heavy texture changes. using this version as a base would save a lot of time. i'll look into it afer i'm done with the stuff you sent

SO will the reaver titan have the option to change the missile pod into a plasma cannon? If so I would find it hard to pick between the two because of the titans missile barrage ability.

I think we run into an issue here. So far i know, abilities in DoW are independant from weapon upgrades. You know, you can't upgrade a weapon and make an ability appear immediately.
Making the missile launcher be upgradeable to plasmacannon would mean that we throw out the missile barrage ability too. Only way to workaround this would be to make two seperately buildable Reaver variants: One with the missile launcher and one with te plasma cannon; dow code constraints here.

You could make one with the Titan Power Fist and the plasma cannon, giving it the ability to wreck in Close Combat aswell.

Well a Titan power fist would only work against other Titans as the arm of the Reaver is simply too short to reach ground troopers. Unless you want the Reaver to have short arms like a T-Rex or alternatively, arms the lenght of a Monkey; you'd basically have an entirely useless weapon arm unless the enemy spawns a Titan which will most like shoot you down before you get into closecombat not to mention pathfinding issues and/or getting stuck on it's way into closecombat. Yeah that's the reason we've had not implemented a titan power fist yet.

Hmmm, I wonder if there will come a point wherein reaver titans are being treated like Imp Guardsmen while Apocalypse-class titans are being used as relic units in Kronus-campaign sized maps...

Maybe a fan like Addon that removes all other Units and have only Titans on the Battlefield could achieve that. Our goal is more adding Titans to like regular DoW gameplay other than redoing gameplay totally to useage of only Titans.

@Cosmocrat, in regards to upgrading the missile, do you think you could upgrade it from an Apocalypse launcher to a Vortex Missile Launcher? That way it wouldn't be a dramatic remodel into a cannon.

Then you would still have the missile barrage ability which i thing would be HORRIBLE OP used together with vortex missiles xD. Remember that you can't remove/add abilites by upgrading weapons.

Thanks to the Moddb Member Joazzz (Watch him on Joazzz2.deviantart.com as well) which did an OUTSTANDING job on reworking the recent DoW Reaver in order to give it the final touch of awesome including mesh fixes and high-res texture. On top I've reworked some of the animations as well making the Reaver more awesome than ever before! Now the Reaver should be on the same level of prettyness as the Warhound model and thus feel less "awkward" :P. Have a nice day now!
