I don't know since I normally model in Blender, but from what I've done with Q2Modeler, it sets each vertex at each frame, so you should model everything before you animate it/add frames.

In the light inspector panel enable the center option, then you should be able to move it. You might need to unselect the light & reselect it first.

Since D3W's been gone for a while and the itch to chat among id tech modders is still around, I started up a forum for us all: Idtechforums.fuzzylogicinc.com

Hope to see more people there. :)

I can also setup a wiki if people want but I found that format frustrating to find D3 mod info on. The downloadable help file was much more useful to me.

Wow, bunch of negative commentary to a company who didn't shut down a service but is dealing with a 3rd party being shut down.

Just think of what will happen when Valve starts dropping support for games that use it's matchmaking service.

Gamespy had a great run. Sad it has to shut down (I don't even think the online server division is owned by IGN/Fox any more but sold off years ago).

To bad nobody commenting here had the $$ to buy the servers & keep them online, eh? Guess that makes you part of the problem then not part of the solution. :)

As far as I'm aware, the ads brought in almost nothing, the site was up for pretty much free.
If there is reason to not restore it, they would be the bickering on the site & now he has a family and didn't feel like keeping up moderated/running.

Something that looks more deliberate in it's attack. That might mean slower. With the weight of the saw it's more natural to move it up/down vs sideways.

Good job on the new chainsaw though. :)

Personally I never used modwiki. I found it inconstant in how information was presented, confusing to navigate & hard to sort through. I used the d3 reference help file & d3w's search instead (I found google's search on the site near useless)

I've made dozens of custom models and no dll changes. I have 146 custom player models in my Q2 install that don't need a dll.

When it hits $20 at Gamestop, then I'll pick it up though. :)

I had to stop reading ~23rd the way through just because it's so poorly written.

I didn't really take him seriously and when he said that when Quake 1/2 users were using Radiant he was using Hammer I decided that guy doesn't actually know what he's talking about (plus he has some things blatantly wrong). It's like he's never actually modded for an id engine before.

Would be no different then when Nvidia made an "us vs them" issue with PhysX. Just another option for developers to use.

The biggest plus I'm seeing with this engine licensing is that you don't need to keep super-detailed books for royalties.

Let's face it: if you're a Crytek fan you'll be using that engine, if you're an Epic fan you'll be using that engine. The number of indie developers that make serious $$ on these engines isn't that high, just helps them win the engine tech war.

TheHappyFriar Mar 19 2014, 11:14pm replied:

Ballsy. :)

So you can pay $20 now, cancel the subscription, find out they did a nice big update in three months, ay $20, get the update, unsubscribe, etc.

Looking over the EULA the royalties do get a bit high... ti's 5% of everything you bring in when using the tech directly (ie not showing videos, but using someone using the engine): retail/ digital sales, kickstarter campaigns, in game transactions, subscriptions, in program advertising, advanced payments (IE given $100k by a publisher to make a game) & anything else that is related to using the engine.

However, you don't pay royalties if it's used in an arcade like setting. :)

The really bad part is no more free version. It's 100% pay-to-play now. I don't see UDK links on their site any more so I'm getting they're trying to eliminate the free SDK all together.
