No one knows, could be upwards of 24 hours, probably a lot less.
STALKER 2 isn't cancelled; they're still working on it as of news a few days ago.
The ejection port can't be see directly no, but the shells should still be able to be seen since it's still in front of you.
Looks AMAZING!!
One question, what's the song name that's in the map flythrough? I loved it :3
Wrong, they also come in a pure beige for desert conflicts :)
But pure brown? No.
Yeah they are, I got to take a ride in one and see it fired... Oh my lord.
Sitting in it is painful enough lol, I don't want to imagine taking a shell to the face.
Looks great guys, I had almost forgotten of this mod in the rest I've been looking at.
So if they're easily fixed, since you apparently know that they can be easily fixed, then you have enough modding experience to do it yourself and share the end result. That's how I see it.
This is correct. They were hired into Valve and have worked on games such as Left 4 Dead and Portal 2 apparently. So they are Valve employees as said by themselves.
Holy god, I didn't expect this, and for free?! I'm in!
Are we really arguing that a mods back story doesn't seem likely or realistic?
It's a mod, I don't see why they can't make up their own back story and bend history a bit, not every mod has to be to the book realistic in the sense of historical happenings. That, and if a missile was fired at the base, they wouldn't have much time to react at all, let alone evacuate to a safe distance, which avoids the gases.
I'm having no issues either, I guess the lack of an ammo counter is a bug... I didn't know that until I played on a larger screen, but I don't mind it. I like a clean HUD actually.
You're doubting the AK series firearms can have a suppressor attached?
Please tell me you're joking :P
A suppressor on a Desert Eagle, while possible, wouldn't help you at all, as it would still be clearly heard.
Zombie Master as well did this sort of game style, FPS team-based gameplay with one person controlling and spawning the hordes. It worked out quite well.
Let's hope this works out great as well. With the team behind it, I'm sure it will go above and beyond to make it seem really fresh.
April fools is common for a lot of things, including mod teams, game developers, and even game studios to play jokes on their fans, or make something fun. You should be used to it.
Great work ModDB Team! It looks great, and as others have said, I'd love to get an invite :)
Ballistics would most likely account to the range of the gun. The damage is based on the type of ammunition used.
Can people not read down a few comments and see that Holden said he'd uploading to Megaupload? Jesus.
As far as I'm concerned T0GSolid, there isn't a time frame a MOD has to be done within, it's a free time project done by a team of people who wants to create it the way they want to. Who cares if they're obsessed with tinkering with it, would you rather it be buggy as hell? I sure don't, I want to play a really well brought together mod and not a pile of mess. As I've said, there is no time frame for a mod, get over the fact that you've had to wait so long, and accept that they're taking their time to make it the best they can.
He was honest in what he said about Blowouts, he doesn't want them, he thinks they don't work correctly, so that's his honesty right there for you. If you want Blowouts in LURK go ahead and tinker with it until it's working perfectly and figure it out yourself, because it's obviously not in the teams interest to add them.
I didn't know that xD Thanks!
I love what you did with the water, but if I could give a suggestion or two, that may already be in your agenda.
Currently when water flows, it's always at a downward angle, even if it hits a dead end on a flat surface, it still acts as if it's flowing down. Would there be a way for it to eventually fill back up to be level with the rest of the lake/river/ocean/w.e?
Another thing, which may be a bit more work intensive, if water could drain from somewhere into another area if it's not an infinite source like the ocean, say a small pond draining down a channel into an underground holding area that the player makes, something like that.
Just two suggestions/inquiries that I had about the current dynamic water and what you maybe had in mind for the future with it. Currently it's amazingly done and much better than before, so congrats on a great game so far! :D
Not sure why everyone thinks Call of Duty created weapon attachments.
The reason the ejection ports are on the wrong side for most if not all weapons, is for the aesthetic reasons people... It makes it much more interesting to see the shells coming out than to not, am I right?
@ Re-Volve
Work is different from a mod that's developed in their free-time. They never had a specific date, just in general, June. How you interpreted that is all down to the individual and much they set themselves up for disappointment when their own person date-in-mind is not met.
Like I've said though, a free-time mod that is done for enjoyment is completely different from school work, career work, or in general life, where it's actually important.
