A determined future video game artist.
Just a heads up, I remade the penumbra glowstick if you want to use it (since importing it causes crashes). Just here as an option:
Ah, sorry we haven't edited this. I'll fix it. I hate to self-promote, but I stopped making my mod Nearsight because of Horizon, but since Horizon was discontinued, I have decided to go back to Nearsight. So we lost one mod, but another was brought back up.
Check it out if any are interested!
Thanks, glad to hear! =]
Sweet deal :D
It's made specifically for this mod. If players want to use it after it's released, that's fine, but it will not be publicly released until the entire mod is available. I need to have some unique features, you know? =P
Same thing goes for you for what I said to the guy below.
It'd help to tell me your system specs and problem exactly...
Definitely one of the best HPL2 related screenshots I've seen. Not lying when I say this impresses me more than a few AAMFP screenshots.
Pls don't use my hideous puddle-trees ;____;
They bad mannn.
You should give a further buffer between the sidewalk and dirt. It's still a bit rough. If you can make a grass plane or two, perhaps flowers as well, put it in the "line" between the two. Some organic material between the two could give some nice visual "cushion".
-Looks at the time posted between your last comment and mine-
... Well my my would ya look at the time!
-Walks away whistling-
I think he meant where the sidewalk meets the grass, not the street.
Thanks! And it is =[ Dem feels
1) how did you install it?
2) Where did you get Amnesia from?
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :3 Sorry about the shortness!
If you took a second to look at the description, you'd see an alternative mediafire download..
haha, no problem, glad to see someone get them feels. :3
You need to buy the game sir.
.... There was no reason for a monster...
It said it in the credits =P
And no, it's free for use, no copyright.
Try loading another custom story, exit from it, and see if it shows up in the list again. I had to do this sometimes while making it. The game gets funky with loading custom stories sometimes.
Expand the download description, I added the link. Hope this helps =]
It's a normal custom story, not a full conversion, so it is compatible with PC, Mac, and Linux
This is looking mighty sexy so I'm just gonna...
It's just advice =]
Some guns don't have this, so it's acceptable, just try to be sure it's usable in most place for the players, such as well lit environments.
I think he means a light dot. On the tip of the front iron sight. It's as simple as adding an emissive/illumination map with a colored dot in the proper UV location of the texture.
I don't think he meant a flashlight of sorts.
Some news will be said later in time, in that time, no updates will be posted here. Sorry guys, big things are in store for Horizon! =]
Are you ******* kidding me? You steal a professional's artwork, claim it as your own, then proceed to COPY or otherwise PLAGIARIZE their work. Then you have the audacity to call us JEALOUS? You're such an egotistical idiot! This concept art comes nowhere CLOSE to the level of quality in-game screenshots you are proving to show. You also state that they probably don't know the first thing of game development? Let's spin this around for a second.
- You are STEALING professional work.
- You are PLAGIARIZING professional work.
"I'm using this hallway as something to go off of", is exactly like saying "I took this author's phrase and moved a few words around, so it's my work". It's still plagiarizing. So it is YOU who obviously has no clue about the legal responsibilities involved in the game industry.
So get off your self-created high-horse and actually create a piece of concept art and remove this from your display of screenshots. It is false advertisement as I'm SURE it's not going to come close to looking as good as the concept art considering the level of quality you've shown in other shots. I SHOULD report this theft, unless you decide to remove it. I take this VERY seriously as a learning game developer, so don't think I won't contact Monolith.
This can get you in serious trouble. And DiamondBorne, no, HE CAN NOT USE IT. There is a difference between "inspiration" and "tracing".
Make a piece of concept art yourself.
I suggest going into the material editor, opening that water's material file, taking off the cubemap, and saving a new material into your CS folder. Will make the water non-emissive.
