Great game. Its the mods that take the bare skeloton and features dropped before release and turn it into a broad epic of immersive warfare. I would personally recoment AD1257 and Brytenwalda.

One of the most immersive historical expeirence set in an accurate and brutal dark age Britain, the hardest mod for Warband that I have played, but so satifying and realistic you will feel like a god once you climb from the gutters to destroy your enemies across your kingdom in intense sheild wall battles. Improves the original game no end and my favourite mod for Warband. If you love Warband, this mod is totally unmissible.

Fantastic mod. None I have played encompass the epic scale and diverse range of conflicts across Europe in the middle ages. The horesback fighting and thunderous cavalry charges of heavy western kngights and the brutality and numbers of bow ruled mongol hordes and crusades in both eastern europe and the middle east is what does it for me. Immersive world makes the ability to role play as characters that are totally beleivable in the context of medeival Europe. Set the reinforcement waves to max, and just try to survive the brutal battles in the holy lands, surviving a battle in this fasion takes real concentration and the payout if massive, you will feel like a god of war. My number 2 mod overall (after Brytenwalda), but number 1 mod based on primarily cavarly warfare. The only thing that lets it down imo, is the low payout from productive enterprises and trading, however once you begin to own a few towns, money will no longer be an issue. Get this mod!

Fantastic mod.
Brilliant map, great soundtrack, fantastic units weapons and very visualy appealing. Its very well put together, I dont know much about the history of the time, but it seems convincing in its accuracy. And samurai warfare is just brilliant. Although the lack of sheilds in that historic time period does my head in slightly and archers will annoy the hell out of you until you get some heavy armour. Maybe some ability to place strategecy static sheilds across battles would be beneficial. Good trading system as well.

What can I say, one of the greatest games ever made, ill be playing this for years to come. Mods are totally vital if you want the best of what the engine can support and multiple features developers left out due to deadline pressures etc and more.

after being a huge fan of Oblivion Lost and not finding many other mods out there that did it for me, this one is brilliant and unforgivingly difficult, captures the essence of zone life very nicely
