It is not about how easy or difficult a composition is... It is all about the atmosphere it creates.
Jumpscare is a cheap tool to scare people. It is easily done and is almost always very annoying. The less these jumpscares occur the more professional a game/movie is.
In my opinion the devs should concentrate on creepy and nasty moments and use jumpscare moments only when they have to.
Also I guess jumpscare moments are just the beloved occurrences for youtubers. Watching people scared is very enjoyable. So the view count is growing fast. But I don't think this game is made for youtubers, it is made for people who love good atmospheric horror games.

i like the low-poly style. that is exactly how i remember hl1 and black mesa. high poly props would just look like hl2
only the fact that the game is beeing developed also (or primarily) for game consoles destroys the concept of deus ex 1.
why are some perspectives in 3rd person? is the console handling that bad that you can't turn to the right direction quickly as you could with a mouse?
and what are fight animations for? i thought this game is rated 18. only younger ppl need that kind of attraction to buy this game.
oh and where is the inventory?? ...oh i understand! it would be too difficult to handle or just to manage... yeah i completely agree with you.
very sad seeing this game evolving into another victim of primitive console handling. it seems that the devs just want to keep deus ex 1 as the best part of all... well very respectful xD
very nice mod! at the end it becomes a little bit boring, but the idea with the boss is great! ..too bad i didn't save the game at the point where the story splits for the other endings.. and i am too scared to play it once again.. lol

as far as i know, the front fins are going up while the back fins are going down, and vice versa.
