Hey man, ended up fixing it by dropping the patch binaries into the SoC directory, as well as the bin folder. Not sure if this is the "correct" way to do it, but it seems to work fine for me. Hopefully I'm not running ENB twice haha.

Can't seem to get ENB working for me. I'm playing with ZoA, so I used the respective compatibility patch on top of the newest universal preset.

All I'm really seeing is a slight change in brightness when switching ENB on and off through the ingame menu. This happened with AA2 as well, do you know about this kind of problem? Renamed the R2 shaders folder as well.

I'm kind of disappointed, all these new areas and there's usually no reward in exploring them. While the 2007 release was cut down in terms of content, there were at least stashes in hard to reach areas that kept you exploring. The most I've found in LA is a medpack lying in a corner of a room, after exploring an entire underground complex.

You seem to be quite defensive towards this. What's the matter, did I strike a nerve? I don't care what people obsess over even if it is something like grown men obsessing over a show for little girls, just keep that ******** out of other mediums that people want to enjoy.

At least someone agrees with me. I'm not saying it's a huge deal, I'm saying it shouldn't be there in the first place. God forbid anyone points out things that don't fit in a mod that supposedly focuses on misery, those people must be worse than Hitler and should be shunned right?

All the things you mentioned fit into Stalker fairly well (except Mein Kampf, it's painfully obvious that some of the edgier mod devs added that for poor shock value, especially since it's the ONLY book available in the Zone for some reason), some being jokes in the series. What place do cartoon horses have in there?

What's more sad is that these people force their ******** into so many unrelated things that everyone comes to realize what it is eventually, and hate them even more for it.

Oh wait, you don't actually believe me? Think what you will, that wont mean it isn't there.

Why does this mod have My Little Pony references in it? Have you lost all shame?

You might want to fix some of these textures. The mod has had some pretty awful LOD tilling problems since 1.0, not to mention the mod is hardly as performance intensive as advertised.

In fact there's really nothing intensive about it, in terms of visuals. In a lot of ways default AN/AS with AF3 looks a lot better, and I'm not just ragging on the huge amounts of rust here. Some night skybox textures look pretty low res too.

It's the top mod on Moddb, it's already spread just fine. And people have responded, both positively and negatively. Not to mention a ton of places frown upon "viraling", even if it's a free mod.

Great looking mod. Is this compatible with M.S.O? Seems to CTD with the two mods installed.

Spamming the player with dozens of enemies that can easily kill you in two hits=hardcore?

Forcing the player to jump on top of rocks and ledges to pick them off=hardcore?

Fascinating.

Hey man, I just say what I see.
It's clear that you try to group people together into one category, and call them out on it.

Try to look at this rationally, and you'll know damn well why there are so many complaints.

A leather jacket is not "armor".
Especially when the enemy can take over 2 shots to the head, whereas the player can take next to none with the same if not better armor.

So you just group everyone in as the same?
Please, stop trying to be a know it all prick.

"Saying that to one of the most critical reviewers, lol. "

People were extremely disappointing, this is no doubt.
In a lot of ways boredgunner, I think you try to go out of your way to force yourself to like things.

The way the Misery team stated things, they said the mod was finished, bug tested, and to be given to us on a "silver platter" (no joke).
We didn't get this.

Why else would the score go down? Stop looking down on people because they don't love everything without giving a bit of conflict.

I think you're contradicting yourself there friend...

Economy is also 10 times worse than 1.0 and 1.2.
1k+ roubles for a loaf of bread?
385 roubles for 1 bullet?

You guys are taking this "dreary" setting way too far, in fact off the rails.

So let me get this straight, 2 shots to the head from a Beretta 92F with AP rounds against a bandit in a leather jacket, and he's still standing?

I remember trojanuch saying that headshots were basically "OP", why the hell would you think that?
Isn't the amount of mutants going against the player, the enemies CONSTANTLY tossing grenades, and the economy along with all the other gimmicks enough?
Jesus christ....

I have not, and I don't think I ever will.
Uninstalled, in the future maybe the team should actually show some gameplay and how features work instead of some sprucy photoshop images.

I'm being serious here, a lot of people were lead to false conclusions today.

Complexity doesn't necessarily mean depth or quality.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with simpler design, it's all about the players experience.

And from seeing the responses from today, there are a ton of people that sure as hell agree.

Let me just say this.
I really enjoyed Misery 1.0.
It had the perfect balance of simplicity and challenge. Each step forward felt fun and rewarding, it REALLY did give me more hope that maybe the modding community could hold up the now abandoned series.
Not only that but it was relatively customizable, I personally didn't like the boring bleak textures, so I added Absolute Nature green on top.
Beautiful.

But 2.0?
It has way too many items for it's own good, the limitations to a ton of equipment and weapons are annoying, and trying to manage all of this together makes things an absolute headache. I'm not saying I don't appreciate what you guys are doing, because I do tremendously. It's the final outcome that makes me extremely disappointed, this is multiplied tenfold due to all the hype you guys built up, and the way you lead us on in some ways.
Want to improve more?
Keep.
Things.
Simple.
This DOES NOT mean you should remove features, it means you should explain them to the player in a way that they can grasp, and makes them WANT to keep playing.
Make things easier to access, for instance make cleaning weapons not limited to a certain condition percentage.
Adding limitations IS NOT difficulty, it's tedious. It makes the player frustrated and overwhelmed, especially with the huge amount of features.

I do appreciate what you guys have done, I've been following your work since the beginning, but it just isn't working.
I remember one of you mentioning a while back that you wanted to keep this mod simple and to the point.
I'm not seeing it.

RinGuy
RinGuy - - 47 comments @ MISERY

I agree, but Master difficulty really is the way to play.
Although, mutants seem way to overpowered.

I'm not saying to make them not a threat, but it's a damn headache once you see a pack of dogs.
They also have insane senses and will notice you from a good distance.

This is not fun.
The mod now has too many items for it's own good, and the amount of things to keep track of is all extremely tedious.

I appreciate the effort, I really do, but it really isn't enjoyable.
I feel disappointed due to all the delays and hype, but it's not doing it for me.
Didn't you say you wanted to keep things simple? This is the exact opposite.
