Actually I think you could handle most of the First Order and Resistance just with (overall) things from the galactic empire an rebellion. You have some stuff so you could use that and update afterwards. No rush though. BTW. I just streamed yor mod: Youtube.com

You did a really good job on this project. Please add the First Order and the Resistance!! If you have missing models for certain jobs you could just use those from the rebellion or the Empire. Both factions are suposed to use old equipment. And by the way. I feel that somth cool could be done with the First Order.
Actually the F.O. has better troopers than the Empire, better fighters and even bigger and stronger mechs. So... maybe you could make them good-all round, just like you made the Zann Consortium. They could fail in Temple stuff though as they don't have a bunch of force users in the story. Also, to compensate for some interesting superior infantry training (maybe an upgrade with extra damage), better mechs and so on... maybe you could add them a 5% time delay or cost for recruiting everything. That would represent their lack of resources in comparison to the Empire.
The Resistance could have even better starfighters than the Rebellion, but wouldn't have the Rebellion's strength in infantry or jedi. What about a "Proven pilots" upgrade, increasing speed and/or damage in X-wings, and "voluntary pilots", making all starfighters cheaper. They could keep that repair pasive from the Rebellion as well.
Awesome update!! It was umplayable before. It would be really nice if you inverted the Y axis though (or let the player choose at least).

By the way. I'll throw you a new suggestion:
- Why don you add the sonic bomb to the Slave 1? As seen on EA's BF2.
And also. A free camera option for the game (which would be locked in multi, but not in singleplayer). So that players can take pics of the game.

Though I respect your work I think that following the canon (as you have done adding real ships from the lore) is what makes your game perfect.
You have a lot to choose from. Victory 1 or 2, dreadnought, interdictor... But those have hangars above. The Acclamator from Battlefront 3 had them on the sides. The venator was also used by the empire, and that ship could open even from the upper side. As the Venator is quite big (1 kilometer) I think the Acclamator is your best choice.
And would make it easier for anyone to work on the Clone Wars version afterwards.
By the way. If you are going to add latteral hangars to the Victory 2 cruiser... Wouldn't it be better for it to be an Acclamator cruiser? They were used by the empire as well and really had versions with latteral hangars. In the Nebulon B is great, it had to have both latteral entrances... but seems weird on the Victory cruiser. I would recommend keeping the hangar below the ship on that case, or reconverting them into Acclamator class.

In that case it would have more sense for the rebels to jump from hyperspace in certain planets (Corsucant or Scarif) and for the imperials to jump on certain others (Yavin and Hoth). And maybe both at the same time on neutral planets, like Tatooine.
Then please take into account that the Nebulon-B frigates on Elite Squadron had double entrance. One at each size, just like your Mon Cal cruiser. Maybe you could open the second entrance so that, at the same time, you end up having that space.
AND YES!! FOR SURE. Some NPCs would look great.
NEVER TAKE THAT OUT. Frigates with interiors are awesome!!! + Imagine multiplayer with people assaultin each other's frigates. Man... :D
Now. Perhaps, from the Capital ship you could manage "corvetes" (corellian and hammerhead), or imperial tartan cruisers. They would be less powerfull, but the commander would be able to lead them all from the capital ship.
Also. The idea for the commander on the capita ship could be expanded. At least letting him choose wich ship to target with the capital ship's canons. Or... Maybe. What about calling in certain reinforcements?? Imagine that each faction has a certain number of points they earn for killing enemies. Then the commander could call reinforcements for a certain price from the capital ship. 50 points: Corvette. 150 points: Frigate. (just an idea)

You should simply be responsible of a Galactic Battlegrounds HD edition. If AOE HD has made it this should make it too. Talk to disney, The Forgotten Kingdoms team or smth to make it true.

It might have files duplicated in order to make the launcher work, but... full BF2? I installed the pack on my legal Steam version, so I see no problem.
