As an American faction, the Mexica are vast in numbers and highly mobile, allowing them to quickly close the distance with their foes and envelop them. This tactic is what the Mexica specialize in, as while they have somewhat poor archers and spearmen outside of mercenaries and AoR, they have the best melee infantry in the game, along with strong shock troops. Adding to this strength are the tlecoyotl and cuahchiqueh, which both boost the morale of allied units while frightening nearby enemies.
Not shown are post-contact units, which will consist of light lancers and arquebusiers.

Nice job Metal Pigeon. Really making progress on filling out the faction rosters. It's great that you also got native names for the units.
Thanks to you for your models.
No problem man. Do you have a Tlaxcalan faction? I was sort of working on a Tlaxcalan nobles unit, similar to the Mexica but a bit different, also still want to try my hand at a Tlaxcalan general with the crane back banner. I also have a pretty good Chinantec captain model and a Huexotzingo captain model. If you need them.
I do not, but I would probably still be interested.
Cool, I'll work on getting these files into a halfway presentable format hopefully with no skeleton issues with the mesh files. lol.
Looks awesome!
Thanks!
wooow... these units look so nice and high quality... impressive. When this mod is finished it's going to be the best ever! the ultimate M2TW mod
Did mesoamerican civs use that kind of hats? They look too modern
Yes, there are some pre-Columbian depictions of brimmed hats. Here's an example: Loc.gov
