I can't really tell why the url marswars.net.tc isn't working anymore.
I have never owned the domain, neither ever had the knowledge to run a website on my own, so I let somebody help me on that matter.
sobe is hosting the website, and we can be very grateful for that.
Maybe the domain has to be re-linked to the new website, I'm not sure. sobe hasn't showed up on xfire since 70 days ago.
have you managed to resolve the problem yet?
I became a little rusty when it comes to these things, can't really give a correct answer offhand yet.
I will be installing the resource files later today (first I go to sleep) and check what the problem might be.
I'll also be checking the recent changes I've done in the patch I've never released. If there were any.
It is amazing this site still has 43 visitors today. I hope those were not only google bots though. :p
I'm still here, the mod is still working for everyone. :P
There might not be any online servers as of now, but the bots are doing a GREAT job also. Most of the time I've been playing against bots anyway.
loving the good old times.. I've somewhat hit the zenith of Mars Wars. There was another update in the makes but I just didn't get around it. Probably because things have changed in my life - but smoothing out again.
It runs like an own game with a new menu/serverbrowser etc and uses only a few original UT2004 files.
It does not overwrite any UT2004 files. When you start normal UT2004 you will not find anything of Mars Wars.
Oh nevermind! It has turrets..
But I never manage to pass wave 4 sometimes fail even at wave 3. Not much fun that way :P Well as I said I'm no big TD player, but if you aim this game only on the hardcore TD players then not many people will like it.
I'd like it to be much more easier. Maybe with difficulty settings. The weapon overheat is annoying since it causes a "damage gap" which the turrets can't handle. This 'gap' then is going through the gate.
I also think that you get even less ressources when monsters break through. Erm ..not really helpful for a beginner that has a hard life already.
I've just downloaded this mod on Fileshack (demo is how they call it).
This mod needs Turrets and co-op then I think it would be really worth something.
I'm not that much of a Tower Defense player, but in my view a snake path with slow fields inside is the best choice? I mean...every match would be pretty much the same if people choose to make snake paths.
The game needs random red fields (unfunctional) AND turrets.
Then the players need to give themselves an overview first and plan how they want to place their defense. Since there are some red fields, the turrets and blockades need to be in proper places. While continuing on this thought...I'd say decreasing the grid size would also be a good idea. (more smaller fields) Or stack turrets on walls.
You can always play it offline if you can't find any active servers.
I have spend a high amount of work only for the offline part.
The bots are fully functional and kinda know what they are doing.
You could also invite a friend and have some fun in Invasion.
I bought UT3 and have 500hours+ on record.
Ok roughly 20hours went into playing the Renegade mod when the servers were populated and everything was fresh.
You can't create the ESRB rating yourself. :P
That is kinda something like forging and is worse than trying to cover your backsides, which you don't have to anyway..
celebrated 2012->2013 using that mutator. B-P
I have just watched the trailer. Looks damn impressive!
Your eyes ARE working.
The only change I see, you scaled the terrain texture layer, that's all
damn I remember my first hours in UT2003 demo that I downloaded using a 56k modem.
IT'S BEEN THE GAME OF MY LIFE :D
later on...been mapping 03/and 04...even later...modding UT2004. Never gets old. It's pure awesome.
That's what I call a mod!!

and perhaps how they couldn't do it the way they've wanted it.
But in the industry they can't work like they want to. :-]
This UT2004 mod has nothing to do with Tripwire.
The UT2004 KF mod is still being updated by the community. Newest version is 2.52.

is this some sort of "find the error" picture? :P
The only thing that needs work is the hair imo.
Nice job

The ending GREAT! xD
Very great. I love you.
Spread the word people!
Sounds like a solid arcade track for the game.
Nicely done. :)
nice textures
Wireframe? I doubt it's any good.
