Thanks man... the shell over the model is a cool transparent blue chrome so ingame it makes the monster look shiny and icy. The icicles are flat plates along the arms and legs with a transparent texture laid onto it...
so I would need to get someone to mesh the codes and recompile a version of spirit with the tweaks for model loading? Or is paranoia already built on-top of spirit of halflife past version 1.6?
Yep, a custom face and new animations and textures... got rid of the middle arm too and tweaked the shape of it.
Its really more for Co-Op, playing the game in SP will be very difficult if not impossible. We shall see though, could tweak down a set of SP maps marked with SP_Mapname
Did I mention that the ENTIRE forest is ONE model. :P

Thank you for the offer, but what we really need right now is a coder. If we can't get the coding that we need done this mod "may" never be released. As I have asked before, are there no HL coders left out there!!!!
Yeah, it sucks. We only really need some very basic stuff to get going right now there is just no-one we have found who can do it as of yet. Like copying the code for monster_zombie a bunch of times for the new monsters, and copying the weapon_crowbar into a bunch of different weapons. We can test all of our models on the existing code but to have unique health/dmg for each weapon and monster we need different, even as simple as monster_zombie_1, monster_zombie_2, monster_zombie_3... etc. And then there is some fancy stuff we want to implement too like the leveling/buying system and the armor wearing and stuffs like summoning for wizards...
This is only scratching the surface of the demon hordes that await... (noted long fingers... will adjust)
I made it, I know its a re-skin plus a hammer. So what if Otis is the blacksmith? It serves its purpose. Thanks for your input.

I had someone pick through the coding.. it looks as if there is no way to attach more than four sprites to a model. At least they couldn't find what you were referring to, but I appreciate the input. This golem will just be less fiery than I hoped :(
3d skybox doesnt render models. Is there anyone who could tweak so it will render models not just brushes?
Update: We need someone to code a few weapons by duplicating/tweaking existing weapon code and same thing for monsters. I. E. we need new monsters that can be monster_zombie1, monster_zombie2 etc etc so we can set up custom health/ dmg for a variety of monsters.
Thanks, I am kind of posting my work in random order.... this was an earlier model I did. It looks good enough in game that there is no pressure on my priorities to really re-make the legs or re-map the textures anyways... more random work on the way though, some old some new. This mod is really picking up now!

FER you are exactly right. In the description I said "This is the Fire Golem Elder with 27 attachment points for flame sprites that crashes any HL mod without fail... hmmmmm" I wasn't aware of this limitation.... the model compiles and works in HLMV just fine but it will crash any HL mod. The second picture is one that works in game but it only has 4 attachments, two on the knees and two on the hips. So in game its legs are on fire lol.... not the look I intended. Imagine in this picture all of the green dots being the origin of a really cool fire sprite... thats more like it. On this note, I wonder if a monster could be coded to use multiple models that each have 4 attachments simultaneously.... hmmmm that way I could get the look I want for this beast
Ye, It says that the Cirtex account is suspended. Main reasons: Using too much CPU/ Memory time, Billing/Payment issues, and abuse of terms of use.
Ouch.... maybe its time for a new hosting service that is more secure against attacks... :P
First model I made after the new HD got here. It will NOT be using those Msc arms and skeleton though in Doom Hunt... just the axe mesh. Still need to code in a freezing effect for it...
This is the base model, all armors will add on top of this so yes she gets armor!

Actually it shall be fun with all 16 players... every 2 players additional to the server will automatically adjust the difficulty and maybe prompt the appearance of more epic sub-bosses and treasure!
