The modified mpq file included in the download contains the new unit models. Be sure that you have placed this file (War3patch.mpq) into your warcraft 3 directory. This will replace the War3patch.mpq created by Blizzard, so you may want to back up the original file.
Yes, here is a tutorial, if you need help setting it up:
Actually, I didn't know about tunggle until I read your post. But it looks like they have a Warcraft III network built in. For the next release, I might recommend people use tunggle instead of hamachi.
The Human army has slayed the Dragon King. The Orc player did not hit the fly-away button in time and can no longer summon the massive unit. The Human player is rewarded with an item worth 10000 gold.
I had no part in creating the models in the mod. I downloaded them from various fan sites and credit should be given to the artists I listed in the "summary."
Anyway, thanks - I'm actually using a different model as well as skin for the Frost Wyrm you see pictured. I don't think the new style quite fits as well as the old, but the model has many more polygons than Blizzard's and has animations to take off and land - which I utilize with an ability. While grounded, the Frost Wyrm regenerates hit points quicker and has more armor.
It's supposed to bea Night Elf "well of wonder" - I didn't add a Naga race. I know this might hurt the authenticity of the Warcraft world, but the model's style fit what I wanted - I wanted to give the Night Elves a mystical bond with nature. The "well" can grow trees anywhere on the map, strike nearby enemies with lightning bolts, and create cyclones within a large radius.
I haven't really thought about adding it to other races, but I like it. Any ideas would be welcomed.
Yes, good find. I will fix that and re-release it soon.
To play LAN over internet, join the Hamachi network "Knute" with the password "Rockne". Be sure you are using Hamachi version 220.127.116.11.
