The name's poshgaloo AKA Riley Walker and I am quite possibly one of the biggest Half-Life aficionados you will come across in your lifetime. I am also a mapper for the Goldsource engine. So there you go. ^_^
Man I miss the old days of playing this! I remember it being 2003 or 2004 and I was just at my dad's old computer playing this.
But seriously I know what ya mean there. Even though I like the remake with a strong passion, there's something about the voice acting that I honestly don't find as intriguing as the original's. I guess it's the tone or the enunciation. It just feels emotionless. :u
It was a damn shame really that ya never got to access this area ever in the game. That's part of the reason why I feel there is a rule when mapping. If you're gonna make an area the player sees but can't access, don't make it all detailed and fancy. Only do that if the player will access it at some point. :/
I love that sky texture too. Even to this day, Half-Life still has some of the coolest skyboxes in my personal opinion.
I thought Otis didn't wanna die a virgin :p
I concur though it was an amazing remake. I can't wait to see how the Gonarch and Nihilanth boss fights will be executed. But I see what ya mean though. Nothing beats HL1 IMO. Not even HL2. HL1 rules!
All is good just add some "high beams" to the SUV. :3
Eye candy everywhere! I like! :)
*Whispers* "Be quiet! This thing hears us!"
"Come on Gordon! You trying to get me into trouble?"
I wonder if Magnusson ever found out about Gordon ******* up his casserole :p
And if you back to that area on the far right, you get a prick saying, "I'M SORRY CORPORAL THIS IS A RESTRICTED AREA!" :3
Thanks and keep in mind that this is only the hazard course mission. The campaign of the mod itself is your typical escape-black-mesa mod with the usual Half-Life weapons and some other variations you'll see when it's finally released. ;)
Hmm not bad.
Looks promising. Tracking. :)
Yeah I remember playing this when I was younger and just freaking out from all of those ugly creatures in the underground sewage passageways. :u still scares me to this day.
I had to report this because this is from the Half-Life 1 modification Lost in Black Mesa. What is it doing here on the Opposing Force thread?! :/
It's a damn shame this genius had to leave us. He will always be remembered as one of the smartest individuals to walk this Earth. :)
Man I'm totally tracking this! Keep this alive and going because Scientist Slaughterhouse was one of the first half-life mods I ever played and man it was fun as hell. :3
I just got around to the playing the first test map yesterday and I must say that it was interesting. With a few tweaks like more sounds and ****, it would be pretty good. ;)
I'm pumped for this mod as well! It's very nice to see many new HL1 mods still going and in the works. Keep up the work man. ;)
I'm liking this. This is way better than those early images. That's quite an improvement. ;)
Hey isn't that what ya see in Blue Shift? :3
Hellooooo haha noice one guys!
Whoa whoa sorry but no that would be too ambitious man. Besides, the Zero Hour chapter is supposed to be the part where the soldiers are pulling out of Black Mesa and forgetting about Freeman. Hence the name zero hour, which means something done at a certain time in military terminology.
Ha I registered it like right after that.
Wow you got one of the twitchers from my favorite HL1 mod, AOM: DC. ;)
Glad to see this still going. Tracking.
No this is a different area.
