Woa, this mod is amazing, it is still wonderful what you can do with source these days. My only complaint is that being attacked by any of the dinosaurs feels week from the video. It doesn't seem like they are doing much to you. I would suggest doing something simple to make being attacked more scarry, or more threatening, like making it flash red across the screen or making scratch marks across the screen, or just something to make the whole conflict menacing.

I get a 800 * 600 full screen image with a combine and some other stuff, then it switches to alien swarm for a split second, then to some over view of a car in a parking lot, then just exits on its own to steam for no reason. 60 fps is the upper range of where we can discern any thing, if you were to put frames inbetween beyond that you wouldn't even see them, and the higher fps you go, the less likely if you put one frame (like a black frame) in a bunch of white frames you wouldn't realize it was even there, in fact 85 is much too high for you to set that as the minimum for your "buttery smooth-ness".

This being said however, and your statement saying, "Not a super high end system by any means" is complete BS, that is a beast of a system. you should be getting 200fps not 44 - 40 fps, and if they say otherwise I would be surprised, (and if they actually did say otherwise its fault in their own rendering and code not your system specs)

Texture needs a LOT of work, looks like HL1 quality, you need to add bump mapping (easy to do in blender and then convert to texture usable by source) and add a LOT more detail on the eye (like the vortigaunts) then have the eye be separate from the model in general, making it an eye entity (i think that's how source handles eyes) so it isn't static.

Every thing here is awesome, as I stated before, however I do think its time for a change for the antlion (and also on the same topic, head crab) green blood effects. From what you've shown us, making the green blood splatter look better shouldn't be a problem.

Also, while were on the topic of antlions, is it possible to have some more effects whent he antlions come out of the ground, right now it looks just like they are nocliping out of nothing, but I think it would look a lot cooller if you could have some sort of concrete breaking up (it sort of looks like concrete) effect as they crawl out.

1 antlion is about to crawl out, top of the texture starts to look like it's cracking,
2crack spreads apart, making it look like a few chunks are being spread out, same texture on top, but on the side make it look broken, underneath it may not even be necessary to put a texture there.
3 then antlion emerges jumping out of the crack, it may be possible to do this with out actually having to go in and change the animation for the antlion
4after the antlion is out of the hole, have it just cave back in on itself, all the chunks of concrete going back to where they were originoaly, but leaving a crack decal where the opening was, after a while fading away or simply popping away when the decal limit is hit.

I would also like to suggest a separate but similar animation for ant-lions coming out of the dirt, or sand, (if you have any sand in the game, though it would be great for modders if you put it in there anyway)
1 you see the surface bulge,
2, antlion starts to come out, this should probably all be the normal animation for an antlion emerging
3 antlion comes out of the hole
4 sand collapses back in on itself, decals may not be necessary in order to make it look good.

ok but why are you alone? am I mistaken or are you generally supposed to just be another grunt? there theoretically should be nothing special about you, no super strength or power, like master chief had, that would single you out to fight a specific boss. Im confused how such a boss situation would make sense in a game like this.

Question, did you guys think through he vehicle portion? will there be other flood with you on/in driving other vehicles? Will there be any point were you are on your own in the campaign, IE no flood? if the answer to the first one is no, and the second yes, you NEED to change it, it will not make sense story wise, and will lose a lot of nostalgia and cohesion with the story.
