It's true the lack of proportions in this game is astonishing. Hopefully we will be able to do something about it in the future. Bigger maps are planned, making buildings look bigger shouldn't be too hard either.
Not sure if you are referring to The Fifth Horseman mod or The Protectors mod. For the latter, please keep in mind some maps are specifically designed to make you lose or have a really difficult time winning. The idea is to teach the player winning or losing has consequences, unlike the vanilla campaign. I agree though more work needs to be done to adjust difficulty levels.
There always is problem. But we fix them! Release will come sooner than Christmas.
Uh... Dragons currently ARE NOT affected by this spell at all.
Animation is even more mesmerizing @)
We will be launching sooner than Xmas. We've fixed many crashes and bugs and now we are currently wrapping things up.
Seems a little bit restrictive to me. If the player wishes to play just the stories (no skirmish) he will do so, if not, he will not. Then again, this just reminded me of wbc1 hero system, where you had to first finish the campaign to be able to use that hero in skirmishes and multiplayer. Maybe a revival of that mode is in order then? Some kind of bonus will be needed though.
I'm afraid all warrior/combat heroes would prefer to choose that over other modes, as it greatly advantages them. This would create unbalanced multiplayer matches, while also discouraging other types of heroes. Such effects are unwanted in TPC.
Currently you cannot start a game in spectate mode - You can only activate spectate mode after defeat/victory- but there will be more options in future patches.
well there's the text stating press Ctrl+O to spectate...
You cannot die in a tower. That's it.
The chances of getting a hero lethally poisoned are still very slim (like assassination). Of all my testing, I only died two or three times due to lethal poison. Better keep a healing potion in reserve just to be on the safe side.
Actually I think this is already in effect in 0.8.7. Something to look into.
He is aware and is very pleasantly surprised of Warlords Battlecry's continuation after such a long-long time.
An interesting idea. The dragon race has definitely not been forgotten, heck the whole game depends on it.
There will be an overall presentation of the new features when we release the version.
That is still the dev changelog so it's constantly being updated. Lines marked in red for instance, are proposed for removal.
I instantly got that Jodwin reference too.
We increased overall AI difficulty in version 0.8.7. For more details see Docs.google.com
Oh dear. Anyway, you don't need to go to the official webpage. there is a link here on moddb directly to the forums.
I suggest we continue this discussion on the forums. Moddb comments are so inconvenient for these types of conversations.
A fair point. I'll add this to the suggestions list.
Oh dear, kaspersky never detected anything. Could you please give more info?
I really find your suggestion about wood elven buildings being used offensively really interesting. I'll give it some more thought.
They say lightning never strikes in one place twice.
A lot of new players asked how to make a choice in a dialogue (both on world map and in battle). In previous versions you had to use either the numpad or a combination of CTRL+#. Now, in version 0.8.7, you will be able to just click the option with your mouse to select it.
I'm sure you'll like it. It has a powerful... impact.
Aspects regarding hero progression have been redesigned in an attempt to keep the balance on-scale in version 0.8.7. Still, a level 100 hero is undoubtedly god-like.
The bugging out only occurs on non-standard resolutions afaik.
