I will post an article about this new thing soon. In short, the hosting player can choose how much a slug fest or a raze fest match lasts (original game strictly set these game types to 30 minutes).
IMO, the trunk size is disproportionate with the crown size.
Seems fair enough. These missions would be an escape goat in case you run out of money or just want more experience. I'll see what I can do.
The GOG version of the game is bugged and crashes a lot. TPC, on the other hand, has a more stable version for free - it is like a new game, with separate installation directory. It will not affect your original game (nor fix it for that matter).
Some characters are from it, but the story is ENTIRELY different.
now that is really weird (and was never able to reproduce). you can post more bug reports at TPC forum. It is also easier for us to manage them if posted there. If you wish to join TPC team, just send me a pm with your email address and I'll fill you in with the details.
sadly no. that is beyond my capacity.
Thanks for the report. We will try and fix those bugs in the next version.
Of course a pornographic mod rises in popularity (like a *****). The quickest and most efficient way to get attention is through nudity.
There is actually a big risk of being overrun if you don't know what you're doing. See for yourself in chapter 3 (v0.8.1 - soon to come).
You need to install it in another location (example D:\The Protectors). It is the full game, modified. You can have both WBC3 and The Protectors installed at the same time without any conflict.
Hello and thank you for your kind words,
Some units aren't up for production on purpose. Read this for more info: The-protectors.forumstopic.com
Those are some really interesting and easy to implement modifications. We will definitely take them into consideration.
Thanks for the suggestions. If you have more, please register at TPC forum.
I'm glad all the aliens have human horses and know how to train and use them.
Next patch (0.8.1) should pop up this year.
This has been requested by many so, best we could do is enable the campaign simply just to provide the item stash... for now.
Implemented in version 0.8.1. :)
Since this project is working on a volunteer basis (whoever wants to help does so whenever and how much he/she wants), it is too hard to determine anything. We do not have a schedule, but generally, the more people help us, the faster we get new versions out.
I just found the problem (and the solution) to this bug and it has now been fixed. Version 0.8 will have no such spell issues.
Versions pop up every two months or so. Next patch will come up this month.
Infinite Interactive is working on another game, but they do not wish to say which one. Visit www.infinite-interactive/forum for more info.
Modifying your hero's skills/ spell sphere somewhere in the game sounds like an interesting idea. It would happen somewhere in the campaign in case you got bored of your hero's setup (probably above level 50) after donating a large sum of crowns. Skirmish/ multiplayer heroes would still be encouraged to get crowns whenever they want to change their hero. I will definitely look into this. Thanks for the idea.
All I can say for sure is that next patch will be released this month (september 2013) and it will have another chapter out for testing. :D
Thank you for your report. I will see to it that his bug gets fixed, hopefully in the upcoming version.
If you are referring to Perks, although some are set up based on your race, you still can change them when leveling up (with a high cost of Ability Points) as you please. It is not impossible to see knight heroes leading undead in skirmishes, it's just that most knights end up being good by nature, culture and education (i.e. how they are grown).
The ones from older warlords battlecry. A google search should help you. Also this video: Moddb.com
An interesting request and certainly doable. There are already some cheats enabled; just give us a cheat-phrase to enter in game and we will do the rest. :)
Rather easy if you have the proper tools and are accustomed to infinite interactive ways of programming - which I personally have been doing for 5 years now. The hardest part is to match your designs with the already existent gfx.
Play The Protectors instead (hijaaaack!)
An adviser AND an excellent bodyguard (as the first chapter undoubtedly shown for everyone on certain occasions, I'm sure). Such companions will be available throughout The Protectors Campaign and sometimes within the Chapters section as well.
So I was having difficulty winning a scenario and clearly needed some help but my pockets were nearly empty (9 crowns) when a few woodsmen came to offer their services for free. -> Luckiest day in Etheria
