Megabyte Punch

Game review

I have owned Megabyte Punch for some time now. I keep coming back for more, especially when there is a major update. It can get a little hard at times, but for the most part its just right, and keeps you playing. Many things to collect (parts, etc)

Taking out bosses is a pretty good feeling, because they can kick your *** pretty fast if you let them!

Sword of the Stars: The Pit

Game review

I own this game on Steam along with the DLC pack. And I must say as a fan of rogue-like games this is a MUST own.

It is brutally difficult at times, its one of those gmaes that makes you take "one more turn" for the entire night.

Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery

Game review

I can't see why this game has such a low rating. It does get quite difficult, maybe they weren't expecting a challenge.

I usually steer WAY clear of Game Maker games, because they basically all feel exactly the same. The dev made a very respectable game here, I am a huge fan of platformers and usually quite critical in my judgement.

It's not going in the history books so to speak, but at the price I would for sure recommend purchasing for some platforming goodness..

Reprisal

Game review

This is a really awesome little game, paying homage to a game i played in my early days as a gamer. The art style is simple, but looks great. Overall it is a pretty simple game, with just enough advanced strategy options to make you return for more!!

I'm so happy this is now free-to-play, I hope it earns the dev many fans and success in the future.

Crayon Chronicles

Game review

Really enjoyable game. It's pretty casual, but not in a bad way. A really great game to just mess around with when you aren't in a serious mood.

It's fun, smooth and enough variety to last most people a few playthroughs. About the only gripe I could come up with (and im really "scraping the bottom of the barrel") is that there is no legacy type mechanics. Such as doing certain things that after death unlock small bonuses for future characters..

All in all, there is no reason not to play this unique little game!! Refreshing to see a rogueish game thats not in that flat, boring isometric 2d pixels that make it hard to even distinguish one game from another!!

Underrail

Early access game review

This game is AWESOME! I really can't express my love for Underrail in text. If you even remotely enjoyed Fallout 1 and 2, or even Baldurs
gate and Planescape games you will feel right at home with Underrail.

The 2d graphics are quite good, the gameplay is SOLID and easy to learn. Even the interface is well thought out.

Please support these guys, and make sure to vote for them on Steam Greenlight. These are the games we as fans and gamers should put forth a little effort to support, so we get more of them!!

Claustrophobia: The Downward Struggle

Game review

This game is already AWESOME even in alpha state. I am quite the fan of rogue-like games, especially 2d and this game is so addicting. It has huge potential and I cannot wait to see what the dev has in store for the future.

Of course being in alpha there is a lot of room left to expand, but this is on it's way to being one of my all time indie favs.

I own 350ish games on Steam, and only a few on Desura, I would love to see this game Greenlit on Steam, as it is one of the main reasons I load Desura lol. If you have time please give them a vote over there.

Avernum: The Great Trials Trilogy

Game review

All of Spiderwebs games, Avernum trilogy included are some of my favorite and memorable RPGs I have ever played. I have been PC gaming since 91' and I always come back to Spiderweb games, because they are among the best RPG titles of all time. Buy them all and support this wonderful and geniune indie dev.

Lead and Gold

Game review

It was a really fun and sorta buggy game when it was new. But it's unplayable, as there is literally not a single person to play multiplayer with.. Unless somehow you convince several people to buy a dead game and play it together.
