Doom 3 Enhanced Edition - D3EE

Mod review

Just great, fixed a lot of issues of the original game associated with the modern computer builds.

SEF First Responders

Mod review

I like the fact that this mod was built upon the Elite Force mod which made me want to play again, but with this mod, it fixed certain shortcomings the author of the EF hasn't been able to address yet. It certainly made playing the game more challenging but to balance it, the gameplay feels more flexible.

I want to say though, please do not totally remove or replace the optiwand (saw your comment on reddit), it might be not realistic but it's equivalent to having a snake camera which for certain is real. The author can add mirrors as subsitute but the optiwand still has place in the game.

SWAT: Elite Force

Mod review

This mod brought a great deal of new content to SWAT 4 which made me want to play again, but, it's not perfect; weapon models and certain controls particularly leaves much more to be desired, thankfully, the author's generosity has allowed others to build upon his work which, more or less, addressed certain issues with this original mod.

PeZBOT - Multiplayer Bots

Mod review

Desperately wanted to install this almost a decade back, but was too young and stupid to understand any of the instructions lol. Crying shame it's no longer being developed though, but tough.

Even if still in the beta stage, the mod offered a quite seemingly authentic Generals experience, though there are some quirks that needs to be getting used to. However, the inclusion of some units that weren't original to the game and it's cut contents made such units such as the Armadillo seemed like they are totally out of place and don't belong in the mod. Also, units with upgrade-able hard points such as the Overlord and Helix coming with all the upgrades as built made them a bit ridiculous to look at especially the Helix as it takes damage very easily despite all the upgrades simultaneously present as built. Using models that were based on units that were or supposed to be in the original game and making the latter have all three hard points options available to be built as separate units from their buildings would be much better as Red Alert 3 doesn't seem to allow to have more than 1 upgrade/ability slot for individual units. And then finally, since Red Alert 3 does support naval units, it would be really fantastic if naval assets would be made available as well.

Overall, fantastic work!

Red Alert 3: Revolution

Mod review

Great mod, but the nerfing of some epic units really took the fun out of using them.

MidEast Crisis 2

Mod review

Great mod, though it could use a lot more maps. Too bad it's been almost a decade already since the last update. It really had a great potential.
