Thanks for the mod. It really adds to the experience.

It's looking better and better boys. Excited by the progress.
If I have one nitpick, it would be about the M1911. The first (top) grip screw is too low, in real life it's much higher. It should be equal to the top as much as the second screw is to the bottom. Great work otherwise, I really like the looks and info.
This would appear to have solved my issue, thank you Spoon, I look forward to enjoying your mod.
All of my units are giving me heavy graphical glitches, this doesn't happen when they are on the outer rim of my camera. This only applies for this mod and I re-installed twice, but still cannot figure out why this is. Any thoughts?
Words cannot describe how confused I am about the world after watching that video.
I'm very excited! As superprion said, do as you need. You guy's are making a revolutionary mod after all. :D
Virtually every person who visits this mod is wanting it to be released "Now", there's no point in asking these questions when they have already been asked 10s of times before. They have been answered and it should have been obvious in the beginning. It will be released when it is complete, not to mention it is posted everywhere in regards to Q4 2012 (I.E. THIS month), unless something goes horribly wrong.
This is not an angry response, if it does seem that way remember that it is just text. Let us use the comment section to pose worthwhile questions and sensible conversations, please.
During the day time, muzzle flash on most personnel size weaponry would be nearly impossible to see, much less pick out of the terrain. The smoke you can see, and this is noticeably more so with cheaper ammunition, so that would definitely fit in with the theme of the Zone. But I must say that I fully agree with the decision to remove muzzle flash, in order to proceed towards a more realistic approach.
*Note that this does not apply to night time, as in many firearms become blinding at this level of light, excluding with the addition of a suppressor.
It has, in fact if you watch the topmost video on this page, you can see an example of a zombie fight in 2.0. They've addressed it in the manner so that not only do zombies have more "zombie-like" vision/accuracy, they also have a chance to drop their gun. This means there's a nice variety of armed and un-armed zombie enemies, from what I've gathered. This is in addition to new weak points, etc . I am not a dev, so feel free to step in and correct me if I've misinterpreted anywhere.
Expect less "quality" and more "quantity", I guess would be my suggestion. Not that it's cheaply made, but it is after all a MASSIVE mod and therefore discrepancies happen. Still, overall best SHoC mod IMHO.
Hmm, hard to say. In as few words as possible; insane, impossible, and hilarious. It's great.
Welcome! Great to hear that the Misery team is getting a proficient 3D modeler, can't wait to see what kind of stuff you make.
I've been playing a lot of Stalkersoup in anticipation for Misery 2.0 and I must say that I really like the prone feature in it. I feel that it really expands what you're able to do on and off the battlefield. Being able to do this with a sniper rifle in an overlook position is just what's needed when there is insufficient protection to cover yourself with. Likewise being able to crawl under low hanging objects is perfect for those tough to reach places. Any thoughts on this?
True enough, I thought I had read that it was requested, but a double take proved me wrong. I must agree with the discussion direction, that it would be a rather awkward weapon to add to the game.
On the subject of the BAR, I'll assume that you mean the M1918 BAR and not the modern day hunting rifle. Although the BAR had flaws, it served it's use in 4 wars. This is by no means accomplished by being "inaccurate", and the weapon was originally intended to be used as a hip fire automatic weapon. You must imagine that in war where engagements can be extremely close range a lightweight, automatic, high caliber weapon is useful to have. I do not agree with adding it to the game, however, considering if new bullet calibers were to be introduced there are many better weapons that could be added. I believe the new guns and many variants added by the dev team are sufficient and there's no real use speaking of adding guns until we have played the release.
Although less common there ARE .45 ACP revolvers. The same goes for the Baby Desert Eagle, which can come chambered for the same round, or in STALKER's case, full size custom fit .45 DE, I suppose. I agree that it would be interesting to have more ammunition, to make it even more difficult to find what you're looking for, but it's not entirely necessary.
I agree that the scopes aren't great, however, as far as crashes and freezes are concerned, I have had zero after 1 1/2 playthroughs of this mod. I have had only 2 issues with this mod so far. One is that the game will begin to lag (Roughly half normal FPS) after a while of play, which a restart fixes. Two is minor and is that there are a few pixels missing from the interior views of most helmets. Running max settings 16:9 on AMD HW.
