I have to say, the mod looks awesome. The models kick ***, the campaign seems like it would be amazing and the music in it isn't annoying as ****. However, I can't seem to play it due to the fact that every time I try to go into a siege battle during the Campaign it crashes. I have looked everywhere for a way to fix this and could find nothing. Not only that, but no one seems to want to or be able to help. The mod looks great, however, due to the instability of it, the damn thing is unplayable.
Please do not let this mod die. There are so few decent Warhammer mods out there. Even CoW pales in comparison to this mod, due to it's disgusting instability.
HOLY BALLS IT WORKED!!! love u guest :3 <333333333
i have windows xp not windows 7
well this sucks...i havent played the game in like a month or so and i finally decided to start playing a game but every time i try to fight a battle it crashes. the wierd thing is that i havent done anything to it since then. before it was working perfectly :/
ugh...first my comp goes to **** and then i come back on pass from military school to find that all this epic **** is out and i cant ****** play it!!! ///wrist
i would **** this mod if i had the necissery equiptment to do so...and thats a compliment
Minas Morgul=Tower of DARK Sorcery :p
ok i just had an idea for how Grond could be possible ingame, so hear me out.
take the Grand Bombard from Med2TW, give it really short range (1-3 yards) reskin it and make it a "jihad" unit like pilgrims from Med2TW, so that it can only be recruited by a general who is on a "jihad" (invasion) and only recruitable from a Mordor territory. im not a moder myself so idk how difficult it would be to do this.
is this mod dead yet? or just in a comma and unresponsive?
just goes to show you that honesty is the best policy...when it comes to the police anyway. now if youll excuse me i think imma go curl up in a corner somewhere and **** my brains out
gettin trashed on Vodka, Scotch and Taquilla is EPIC!!! got pulled over by the cops tonght and they all shook my hand for not puking even though im 17 and toooooootally gone. gotta love cops in Jersey
why split Silvan Elves? it would just cause more problems, less territory per faction, essentially wasting new units (the ammount of units you can make is hard-coded btw) a new faction would be much better suited elsewhere in ME, such as Umbar (granted the mod team can slightly increase the AI's naval prowess like they did in the last patch) frankly splitting the Silvan Elves doesnt sound like a very logical idea. they already only start out with 3 territories, their only real reliable troops befor the barracks event is the sentinals and they take FOREVER to recruit. not to mention that they have to fight Mordor in the south, OoMM in the West and, if god REALLY hates them on that particular day, Rhun from the East. it just hits me as illogical that what the North needs is one more good faction to, once again, unbalance the gameplay up there. if any faction needs an overhaul its either OoMM or OoG. not one of the most powerful factions in the game lol
its because the AI doesnt grasp the concept of barracks events... and thus doesnt recruit loads of elite troops and instead only puts 1 or 2 units of say... gondor cav (not militia) into an army and the rest consists of crap units
because people (not me) want the mod to be more like the books and less like the movies. they dont like the fact that Peter Jackson put Elves in Helm's Deep (other than Elros, Elrohir and Legolas) when in the book no Elven army came to help. it was Theoden and his house. and Eomer didnt lead a cavilry charge against the Uruk-Hai there... it was Erkenbrans and it was an army of footmen. so because Mr. Jackson ****** ppl off theyre slowly trying to nix everything movie related out of the mod XD
hmm i was just playing as Rohan and kicked Isengard's *** by turn 60 or so... then i realised the entire time i was killing Isengard, Gondor was getting demolished by Mordor and Harad, so i got to thinking, what if there was an event for Gondor, where whenever Minas Tirith comes under siege they light the beacons of Gondor? it doesnt need to give any bonuses or anything, but it could be more like a warning system to the player, saying that Gondor is getting ******, so either get ur *** over there and help, or watch ur *** cause you might be next lol
you could just change the name to Annuminas without the fancy U... u do that by double-clicking the settlement, clicking on the settlement name on the construction info window and erasing the name. then name it whatever u want. i didnt like that The Black Gate was called just "Black Gate" so i changed it :p and Barad-Dur didnt have a hyphen so i changed that, and when i conquered Dol Guldur as Silvan Elves i changed the name to Amon Lunc to get rid of the evil-esque feel the name Dol Guldur carries with it :p
and im a fan of you Clint :D
@KnightofGondor well in LotR Sauron WAS immortal... the only way to destroy him was destroying the ring which held part of his soul inside it... so yea hes supposed to be rediculously hard to kill
coulda just used balistas lol
a note to all would-be evil-dooers... do NOT attack Edoras... i say again do NOT attack Edoras...its a death trap...its litterally an uphill battle the entire time. i lost half of a stack just trying to get to the top of the city...the gate falls to you easily enough, but the AI LOVES to camp the Golden Hall...if you attack it youre signing your death warrant. please for your own well-being, just auto resolve here...
ugh let me clarify that i absolutely love the mod and for the past few years have been worshipping the ground KK walks on. and with the new patch i feel that the mod team has outdont themselves. i was playing as Isengard before and managed to push Rohan across the river Isen and into Helm's Deep...the textures and terrain on that particular settlement blew me away. and the fact that, had i attacked another settlement, the battle wouldve lasted about 2 hours LESS makes it all the more epic.. i also fought Rohan in Edoras and, if i knew how to, i wouldve posted a replay of the battle on Youtube... thats just how amazing your work is. once again, a job well done, and please dont take my previous comment as complaining, just for the sake of complaining. KK, i love u... marry me.
ok im here to complain about OoMM
i had a full stack of troops (7 Goblin Infantry, 1 Bodyguard, 2 Warg Riders, 5 Archers, and 5 Heavy Goblin Halberds) against half a stack of Dwarves (4 Miners, 1 Axethrower, 2 Halberds, 2 Warriors, 1 Bodyguard)i started the battle just south of the Grey Mountains near Wormcove, the battlefield was greatly in my favor, much like Gettydburg, i was positioned on a large ridge with my infantry, a gigantic hill on my right flank that i possitioned my archers on, and i hid my cav behind said hill so i could swoop around and drill into the enemy's left flank. so the battle starts off with my archers raining death into their ranks (goblin archers are crap so we only killed a few dwarves in the first few volleys) then i rushed my infantry into their center and pushed them back far enough that their right and left were cut off and the center almost completely encircled. then i followed up with my Wargs, swinging around the hill, down the ridge, into the valley and the enemy's rear, dealing quite a bit of damage on the assault... then things went wrong...very wrong... my goblins were no match for the Dwarves absolute worst units in the game and began to waver, i popped my General's ability (Orc Draught) which locks moral, but at the possibility of my troops in-fighting.... ALL my infantry started in-fighting as they were cut down by the small group of dwarves... then my men started to break, Goblin Infantry first, followed by the Heavy Goblin Halberds, followed by my General (the Wargs were massacred) long story short, a mass rout began and the battle was over before my archers could use the rest of their arrows... i call bullcrap... there is no excuse for this. Goblins are not the complete cowards theyre made out to be in this mod. if that was the case than in the Hobbit they wouldve broken and fled before the Eagles appeared...and then after they had they still continued to fight, very well i might add. its just rediculous imho.
i was Arnor at the time, owned all of Eriador and all the Rohan regions formerly owned by Isengard (everything west of the river Isen including Isengard) i was making about 20k per turn and i had perfect relationship with Gondor so i could buy a territory for about 30k each, i wound up buying all of southern Gondor with the exception of Linhir and Arnach, so i had a buffer against Harad, and also because Arnach was their capitol and i was hoping theyd lose it at some point so i could swoop in and take it for my own XD
Rohan isnt crap lol thats OoMM's AO, Rohan has the best cavilry ingame and can DESTROY Isen before the first AoR event.
yea but i find it takes alot out of the battle itself....its not the same if your at risk of losing a strong foothold or defensive position then when your just doin it for ***** and gigs. plus you have generals that you care about in the campaign and if you do a custom battle its pretty much just a captain with the "rally" ability
its not a custom battle yet but it IS in the campaign so stop tryin to be lazy and cheatin ur way through the content :p
you posted this exact same thing like 2 days ago dude
LOL im a beast!!! XD just beat the campaign as Eriador by, get this, buying Gondor :p im like the Donald Trump of LotR!!!
