Avernum: The Great Trials Trilogy

Game review

A game that survives on depth of dialog and story over flashy explosions. Trust your instinct and buy this game, the storyline alone is worth the tiny price. A real thick novel of a game!

Mount & Blade: Warband

Game review

This game has proven to be the benchmark of of it's genre. And even though it's indie and low budget really gave those AAA titles a swift kick up the ***. The gameplay is what makes this truly superior to everything else of it's kind. And while the graphics are a little below todays average, they still suffice for real gamers and enthusiasts.

The Mod community in my opinion, is what has made this series of games one of the greats. So much variety, from Sci-Fi to Fanatasy, right down to some seriously detailed historical times.

If you have 500 hours to burn. This is your new favourite game.

Super fun for the 30 or so minutes it takes to finish. Going for gold medals doesn;t really pay off, unless you want to waste another 30 minutes. Awesome concept. just far to short.

Fort Zombie

Game review

Graphics aside, this game has some very interesting ways of making you think. Counting every bullet and tip toeing around every corner are just a few of the tasks you'll be doing to survive.

Project Zomboid

Early access game review

This is by far one of the best (RPG) survival games of the zombie genre. With no silly 90’s action storyline or giant *** whoop'n boomsticks, you'll find yourself relying on nothing but the instinct to live. But being alive isn't all it's cracked up to be, considering this game revolves around the fact that 'This is how you die' is shown before your eyes as you start the game. You see, this is a serious survival horror RPG. With enough elements of some of the greatest games thrown in: Isometric view, lots of blood, amazing soundtrack, no save/load (Though I must admit, I do hope they implement a save & exit) You are here to live as long as possible, scavenging food, quietly avoiding hordes of zombies, taking down the competition before they get you first. (Yes, some NPCs want nothing more than the shirt of your back... COME TAKE IT!!!)

This game will get your heart pumping, your fingers twitching. You want to live as long as possible. Show your friends you can easily outwit them if a real 'apocalypse' arrives. If you want some seriously good practice, this is the game for you.

Oh and guess what? Alpha testing is the current version, meaning this is merely the foundation of a game that we all know is going to be of epic proportions once fully released. (Even though it's already breaking the amazing sound barrier)

So get your hands on it now while it's cheap, or never get the thrill of what a real zombie survival game should be.
