The X-Wing games were excellent but the ships were slow, and the end result was the whole thing ended up feeling quite uncinematic. But I really enjoyed this, I was chasing a Tie at high speed down the side of a Mon Calamari Cruiser just like the movies. So, if you can put together a decent campaign and 'Fate of the Galaxy' remains in limbo land, the cinema-style feel of the ships and the brilliant visuals (thanks mostly to the Freespace-Open's lighting) will make this a new standard for Star Wars flight sims.

But you might want to work a little on the menus... they feel a little cheesy in comparison to the in-game experience. I'm guessing they're placeholders though.

I do believe that is just a coincidence. I remember seeing this mod in development long before Deus Ex 3 (even possibly Deus Ex 2) was on the public radar.

If your going to have the player character speak, you have to do it well or not at all.

Portals are mind bogglingly fun...

How about focused on purely fun gameplay, that's what I would've voted for.

Mmm, there is also Deus Ex 2027 a prequel to the original Deus Ex, while its site is only occasionally updated and their ModDB profile is archived, the person doing the mod has a blog (but it is in Russian) which is regularly updated with some rather amazing screenshots.

I like the new music! Especially the conversation example, the Illuminati Library track sounds good though unfortunately it reminds me of the backing track for a educational video at a museum...
Though I guess seeing its a library so that's ok...

And please do voice acting, I've played a few Deus Ex modifications without it, and I must say it is terribly annoying to read a large amount of information from your com while your simultaneously involved in combat.

The style is really nothing more then soft porn...there is absolutely no logical reason why she is almost completely naked...other then blatant sex appeal...
Guns and bare skin don't really go together, its just ridiculous.

Its also dodgy that people seem to superimpose their sexual fantasies onto their games, and as a result treat women as nothing more then objects of lust...

I don't know about you but I find intelligent women with a least a decent sense of modesty far more attractive, and as characters in games, far more interesting then something like this.

When designing a female character for a game you should look at characters like Cate Archer (from No One Lives Forever 2) and Jade (from Beyond Good & Evil) NOT characters like Lara Croft or any of Dead or Alive characters.

Yay I love standalone mods they have alot more a appeal then having to mess around with a game you already have.
