Hello, I am Megavin123. I am a modder for the game Star Wars Empire at War but I am also planning to give other games a try. Aside of that, I am also part of Bullseye; an indie gamedevelopment group.

At the moment factions are: Alliance, Tyranny, Shadows and Black Sun Pirate Remnants. Maybe I'll add more factions in the future but that depends on whether they fit in the story or if the game can handle that.

Thanks :) once I finish the Tyranny and the Alliance I will get to the aliens :) at the moment I am working on my own, but loojing for other modders so that we'll be able to create our own models and such.

Well the thing is, the ai knows how to build stations, but not at the right moment. The constructor ships deploy build pads close to enemies, and I don't know how to change this.

That is fine. Since Nomada allowed me to use his work, I don't think I am in a position to express my opinion about his quality over EJ's models, but I do concur that EJ has some really decent models :) but yeah my problem was that I had no clue where to get those xD since I don't have 3ds

What I meant with clashing textures, that if I include ships with textures made by different artists, it might look strange, but that could just be me haha :p Your mod looks magnificent btw :) keep up the great work!

I see what you did there, will look into this. The idea came from the fact that in the mod, a dark race invades the galaxy and everyone just calls them Shadows, and in this alternate universe, it is their second invasion, so the shadows return haha :) Return to the Shadows also might be interesting though. Will consider :)

But then again, due to its smaller size, the Venator is more agile and harder to hit if I'm not mistaken, thus giving it another advantage over the ISD, as long as the ISD doesn't use its tractor beam.

What he means is you should make up a list of units you plan to have ingame, along with some concept images, so that potential modelers know what they are up against.

Well, a few coding can change that bit where you can't place structures by yourself. I'm sure it's possible to start with an MDU like unit that can build a command centre, which can build MDU's for other structures or sumthin ^^

Well yeah that's also important indeed ^^ But I was referring to the types. You see, in vanilla you have only temperate, swamp, forest, desert, volcanic, arctic, urban and space while there are far more possibilities :P you know what I mean? xD

Oh by the way... what do you mean with finish mods, and you always 'finish your mods'? This mod has been up for multiple years and I still haven't gotten to play a stable version in my opinion. Also, Geroenimo might have a slower development pace, but he actually delivers quality that I like playing. Your mod basically is nothing but a mass production of overly detailed, lag producing overpowered units. Your mod might have some features that you claim to be unique, but I never enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed ORAW, since that mod actually is balanced and the ai doesn't have these bizarre advantages, such as free SSD's during skirmish battles.
And finally, ORAW might have ceased development for the time being, but I am sure he has a valid reason for that.

Oh I see, so this happens with any faction, because I did notice, when playing 2v2, and the allied ai summoned a reinforcement fleet of a Hero, the ships were mine to command, and if I played mirror mode, so Rebel vs Rebel p.e. I also got the units the enemy ai summoned, maybe a way to fix these issues, including the feature you introduced here, you might find the answer among the structure garrisons, when you activate those in skirmish the spawned ships actually are divided among all the players, human and ai alike.

Well, the ai, I am playing GC at hard, from tech one as recommended as the Rebels. In the beginning the Empire spams me with their starting units and afterwards they build out their bases but they don't get additional units. I fixed this for my self by increasing the 'GC contrast' factor in the Difficulty adjustment XML.

This is a nice design, but I doubt something, the radius of a LZ is circular, that can't be changed as far as I know. So landing troops in this thing might get buggy when you mis-click and making the transport land in a wall. I have never seen anything like this in any other mod so I do like this idea though.

Cool, I really enjoyed reading this :) I also know a few misconceptions, like, spaceships can't make sounds in space. And when a space ship get's hit by a projectile, it won't keep moving straight forward but would basically move by the laws of gravity, don't know how to explain in English :P

This is not true, you can make hardpoints invisible and destroy them on by one, I tried it myself, take a look at this p.e. Youtube.com Hardpoints are untargetable but it still works fine

One question, will the hardpoints be the same as in Alliance (Do all the ships have a lot of hardpoints)? If so, I'd recommend to make them untargetable but still destroyable, a ship covered with green dots looks weird, especially when there are many hardpoints, but that is just my opinion, it's your mod after all

The reason behind that will be explained in the novel, shortly it's because the Earth Alliance didn't had the ideal fuel for space travel and therefore their ships have large engines to store large amounts of fuel :P

Yeah it is, there used to be a rebel lvl 3 base up there, but when I deployed the station it lasted 5 seconds so I'm gonna fix that and give all the factions a weapon like that, but also, if you've watched Babylon 5, you see that beam canons are supposed to be that powerful
