Hello, I am Megavin123. I am a modder for the game Star Wars Empire at War but I am also planning to give other games a try. Aside of that, I am also part of Bullseye; an indie gamedevelopment group.

Yep, ground combat in this game is way to shabby imo. Since it's part of the game I'll see what I can do with it but don't expect a masterpiece.

What if I told you you were also correct, kindoff :p some units are shared by multiple factions, so the CSA also uses some CIS ships yes.

Thanks :) what I plan to do with HardPoints is having the critical systems destroyable (Maybe also targetable, will see), such as shields, engines, turrets e.d.

Thanks! :) Actually, I haven't taken inspiration from any mod (Okay maybe a little from Rise of the Mandalorians since I used that as a base) but there are some comparable features yes.

Yes I am aware of that, I own Sins Rebellion, assuming that is what you mean with latest expansion. As for the TIE's, what you say does make sense indeed. There is a lot of fanbased stuff out there.

Also, the second paragraph indeed makes sense. Lot's of new games available. I'm also considering to dive into the files of Sins of a Solar Empire or maybe Homeworld.

Firstly, thank you for your comment. Because of the little amount of response I am getting on this project in general, I started to believe that I might be doing something wrong and I am glad to have someone point out what exactly is wrong, so even if I might seem defensive to your comments sometimes, don't get me wrong, I really appreciate it.

With that said, I recognize that this model was indeed made in a fairly short time and therefor lacking in quality. I do concur that Sketchup is not the ideal modelling tool for this game and that is the prime reason why I'm looking for modelers who actually know how to make good looking, and more importantly, models that would actually work ingame.

Initially I was basing my model of the starfighter from the movie 'Oblivion' but as it progressed it was getting more towards remotely looking like a TIE model. I am considering removing the long 'tail' and have a TIE model which is basically a crossover between the TIE Raptor and TIE Hunter. What would your opinion be on that idea?

TIE Hunters are already in the mod :P I was aiming for a TIE design tho..question is though, what shall I name it.

Yeah it's a version meant to take on capital ships. Will rewrite the armor-damage system once I finished adding everything, to get rid of its unfair advantage against smaller ships.

At this point I can not yet give an accurate answer to that. What I can say is that in the early compaign they will fight alongside you.

Yeah, it really adds to the way the game is played. The ai doesn't use it all to well though, so I hope to be able to fix that in the future. Right on :p my sis is totally addicted to 1P

I rewrote skirmish in a way that you start out with a construction ship which allows you to build your space station manually for more personalized positioning of your base. Its construction ability has a cooldown timer of 5 minutes so I tend to build more than one for extra income and a secondary position. Nice One Piece avatar btw :P
