Oh also, looks like there may be a UV texture seam down the center of what I assume are solar panels? They only seem to appear on the bottom picture... It's probably an issue with the ALO render engine mipping your DDS files and compressing the living daylights out of them. I still need to find a way to turn off mipping altogether in EaW. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

The 'seam' is actually part of the solar panel texture, but the thing is so big, it could not get a proper screenshot to show it. It looks good though when you zoom in. Thanks for keeping tabs on us ;)
Ah I do see it now. The details are distorted when zoomed out because...of mipping. DirectX wants to manage your texture resolutions for you to help with that pesky thing called "performance". Ha...whatever that means. The end result is that fine details like that often get either lost or blown up too big so that a small line now looks like a UV seam.
It will reveal Enemy Fleet movement near Planet so User will know what Enemy is up to :) in GC Mode of course.
It`s impossible to call Units from other Planets during Space Battle.
Which is a shame really. A lot more was planned for CG than actually made it into the game. You know, there's even leftover code for chance encounters between planets...like if two oppossing fleets cross paths while in transit. So theoretically, you could intercept an incoming fleet if your ships had faster hyperspace speed, etc. Would have been cool.
That would be really nice but...Game Engine don`t allow for that :/
