Well, the images are... distracting, but the concept is interesting and has the potential for considerable faction variety, including possible main factions, subfactions and neutrals alike.

Definitely interesting! While I don't quite feel that TD/RA setting split is quite as strong in the current missions as the third answer suggests - Creeping Destruction is both long and centred on a Soviet/Nod conflict, after all - this is just a minor quibble, and I'm certainly looking forward to something as ambitious as Covert Revolt.

I'm aware, hence "a bit like... folded back into". However, it would be easy to posit how Japan could end up Allied by RA1/2 (namely, by being defeated in a Pacific War shortened by there being no distracting European War), and subfaction would be a heck of a lot easier than full faction.

Perhaps one day Japan might be included as a *sub*-faction, likely if then for the Allies? A bit like how Yuri's faction gets folded back into the Soviets as the Psicorps sub-faction.

And Counterstrike had the Allied missions organized into three mini-campaigns of 2-3 missions (Sarin Gas, Siberian Conflict and Fall of Greece).

Definitely interested in seeing this released. I was aware of AR2 back in the early 00s, but lost track before any actual release was made (though I did play the original Allies Revenge), so it'll be both a blast of nostalgic past and a new experience for me.

It seems the associated website has gone down (the domain name expired on the 18th of June). This means that whatever manual analogue was on there is gone, but also that the client can't check for new updates.

No, it is still being worked on (check the github). It's just that they stopped posting anything here, and far as I can tell have no link to a public changelog (at least outside the discord, and joining a discord server just to get access to changelogs would be ridiculous).

LordInsane - - 17 comments @ YR: UMP Next Gen

I'm assuming you simply... put the files in the rar in the RA2 folder and run through NEXT GEN.exe, but there's definitely a lack of an installation guide that confirms this.

Sorta hoping someone takes this work and makes it work through the CNCNet Client... it'd be good to have a way to get its benefits (like being able to select a windowed view) with what's simply a bugfixed YR with the full campaigns.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with the client failing update checks? I suspect a problem at my end, though other mods using the client seem to have their checks work.

Ah, that's understandable. Looking forward to seeing what you have when it is in a state to release.

Hi, I noticed the Alpha release seems to have been delayed. How are things going with development?

On my Windows 10 computer, I have the problem that the client menu is entirely grey except for the green version marker in the lower right corner and the TS is up to date box in the lower left corner (the text there being light green on grey). The menu options are there and functional if I can find them, but obviously it is a bit hard to click on the right one without anything to indicate where the buttons are and which one is which. Furthermore, if I do get to anything which has a checkbox option, those options do not mark to show if they are active or not. They are functional, I can confirm that via the options menu and that one checkbox that unlocks another, but they otherwise do not show if they start out active or not.
This is a general client error, I have the same problem with DTA and TI, and so there is no confusion: once in-game everything works fine, including the esc menu. I have tried different compatibility settings (doesn't seem to work, though there might well be something I've missed), and I've tried doing searches (hampered by the fact that I've only found discussions of in-game errors for client-run mods).
Have anyone else had this problem? If so, have they managed to find a fix for it?

Well, it'd have been The Dawn of the Tiberian Age by Westwood's usage...
