Get out of here, Stalker! Just joking friends, come in and enjoy my constantly growing profile. This is the list of the games I play: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series (favourite), Far Cry series (also one of my favourites), Crysis games (nice graphics), Assassin's Creed series (#1 games when it comes to atmosphere and history), GTA (especially San Andreas), Borderlands 1&2. Oh, and I'm addicted to World of Tanks right now... Feel free to comment my images!

Joke aside, yea, I'm very alive, but I'm turning into a silent watcher right now I guess. So don't expect all too excessive posting from me in the next time :)

I'll continue my short story from time to time, hoping you finally guess which particular group I'm describing.

Right, that's probably what will happen. But the stop of bigger projects is equal to the modding going extinct. What would STALKER be without Lost Alpha or Misery, what would FC3 be without Ziggy's Mod, what would Skyrim be without these tons of bigger mods? Everyone wants to make the most money for the least amount of effort then. That's why I think paid mods can ruin the system that sites like ModDB and nexusmods have established.

Indeed, Limansk is a quite underrated place. In vanilla CS I never really liked it because it lacked anomalies (well some huge gravys that act as a border and some space bubbles, that's it), also you are basically constantly in a hurry and have no time to explore. That's why Limansk is quite a dull place and deserves this second chance.

Paid mods are against the rules. Sorry, it's just like that. You cannot expect anyone to pay for a mod! That was never and it will never be.

We pay for the games already, and sometimes even way too much, and now some idiots think they can make a ton of money with adding crappy modifications to a game that has thousands of better, and most importantly FREE mods? I pity them.

A mod is made in the spare time of a developer, with the latter usually having a real job, and modding is considered as his "hobby". You don't expect anyone paying for your hobby, right?

And it, that all aside, has to do something with honor. We honor the developers by spreading the word of his mod or even donating, and the developers honor us just making the mod and keeping it up-to-date. It's a system that works since more than a decade, and it works brilliantly, that I can tell you.

You as a modder have a nice job, earn money, and in your spare time you just do some modding BECAUSE YOU LOVE IT and people might even donate money to you! If that isn't a win-win situation!

If you'd offer your mod only for money, people would lose interest, they would prolly talk sh*t about it, you get frustrated, and then you just quit it. And maybe it wasn't even a bad mod at all, but you greedy bast*rd wanted to make people pay.

Now everyone lost interest: People lost interest in you as modder and you lost interest in modding. Then other modders would do the exact same and the final result is that nobody wants mods anymore. It's a vicious circle.

But boy, am I glad they made this experiment. Now we know the reasons why it will never work out. Human greed is infinite.

I could go on about it for hours, but I'll cut it here.
