One thing that I have learned in my time allowed on this Earth... some people, correction, most people will find something to gripe and complain about, no matter what it is that they are looking at or talking about.

$35 for Dominions 4 is a stinking deal... any day of the week.

To anyone that was looking into this problem... thank you. It seems to be fixed now. I was able to re-install via Desura, and the version shows up as v1007. Again... thank you.

I am currently running version 1004... and trying to install the new update... for some reason it doesn't want to do so. It keeps popping up an error message. If I go to your website and download the patch, then try and install it to the Desura installation path... it gives yet another error.

After uninstalling it from Desura... it now will not let me re-install it. Some error about unable to verify. Any help on what is causing this to not work?

THIS is what endears me to Indie games...
...A complaint about a game that is in development is made.
...The developer asks for clarification / suggestions.
...Before you know it, game changes get implemented in a patch.

Fantastic atmosphere and attitudes. Big name developers need to pay more attention to TheIndieForge.

Have a blessed day,

Who was trying to "offset" anything? You are being shallow, as well as somewhat childish. I still wish you a blessed day...

@graspee Funny how you said the same thing about The Wizard's Lair. As @nibbe said, just go download the game from the link he gave... after playing it through for a bit, you will see that this is a really great game... total time sink.

Don't get me wrong, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup IS a really great game as well... this one just has a "different" charm about it.

Try it, you will see.

Sounds to me as though someone got in trouble for playing video games at work :) You must be employed at an office where your boss is trying to pass the Ninja Board of Exams, and you are the unlucky soul who he is attempting to use as his exam study buddy. Dude... take a breath, relax, and stop playing video games at work... simple :)

OK... Dark7god said that he was addressing the issue of the Desura "exe" defaulting to Steam... give them some time to work it out. In the mean while... here is what I did to get mine working.

1) Went to the Desura install path for ToME and ran the "exe" from there.
2) Noticed that the "full" features weren't there, basically, running as a non-donator.
3) Went to set up an account... to log-in with the "CD Key" that Desura gave me when I purchased ToME.
4) Wrote my info in "notepad", copied and pasted each field as required.
5) Play the game as it was intended.

Access to the extra tiles, access to the "adventure" mode... seems to work fine. I hope this helps in some small way. I know it is frustrating... but give them a little break. Again, they said they are addressing the issues.

Have a blessed day,

@dark7god... Thank you for asking Desura to look into the difficulty concerning ToME... we appreciate your efforts.

I have to say, for the Developer to get on this site, and explain that the game is somewhat unstable... to warn potential buyers... is amazing!!! Thank you for stepping out on a limb like that, and potentially cutting your sales. Honor in the game developer arena, seems a little low these days, and it is VERY refreshing to see that displayed here. Thank you!
