this was such a great mod with a lot of love and time going int its creation. its sad that it seems to have stalled, but it is understandable. most of the developers were still in high school when this was begun, and have moved on to college and the real world. i was by far the oldest member of this team, and real world has kidnapped me and placed demands on my time that rule out a lot of participation. these guys should be commended for all they did and what they created

you have created a great mod. congratulations

these backgrounds are awesome. simply stunning

im glad to see this is still alive.. it is a great game and story and shouldnt be left to wither.

do you have the homeworld 1.1 update installed?

here is how it compares
PDS is dead and has been for some time
this mod allows you to play with the new units in campaign, or in multiplayer, or vs CPU
this mod has a lot of replay value
it isnt scripted where the only way you can win is to follow the developers strategy
all around, in my opinion this is the best Homeworld 2 mod out there...period

im a little disturbed that there is no mention of me in the credits list .
my contributions may not have been as concrete as others, but they were far from insignificant.

hos do i get this to run in windows 7?
i got everything to run, except when i try to alter the copy of my standard shortcut, to run the mod big file, it keeps telling me the specified path doesnt exist

i think it is a good thing to have many varieties of ships
it gives more flexibility and replay potential to the mod
the more versions the better

this is a result of having a substandard or outdated video card or not having the correct drivers and/or system specs. nothing we can do about that
buy a nvidia card.
its fairly common bug with some mods in homeworld 2, i have ran into it myself even using a nvidia card, try either rolling backk drivers or updating them first

dont be a retard.
and also dont post in our mod thread again looking to circumvent the IP of relic or sierra.

there is simply not much i can do to help you if i dont know what OS you are using, what system specs are, etc
please provide them and i will do my best to help you

dude there is no "new" campaign
it is the same campaign just using our new ships
other than the ships we added, and our effects, etc...the campaign is exactly the same as stock hw2

what system are you using
again we need all the details to help

well, they ARE nukes after all, so they are supposed to be pretty powerful
if you are comfortable doing changes to the .big file you could go in and reduce the amount of damage done by the icbms.

do you have a legit copy of homeworld?
do you have the 1.1 patch?
we arent going to waste time with people who havent got a real copy, or got their copy thru some pirated means.
does that happen a lot?
you bet it does, and it is quite frustrating to work with people to try and resolve their problems, when the cause rests squarely on them having unpatched copies.

as i have already said
we borrowed nothing from complex, they borrowed from us
if you can prove that we borrowed anything from complex, tell us exactly which ones it was
other than the two completely new ships that we put in months before complex asked us to use them, all the ships are standard homeworld 2 ones.
so how exactly can you prove that we borrowed from complex or PDS for that matter?
anything you see in PDS that is similar was because the true creator of those ships was SRI sajuuk, and he created them when he was a member of the PDS team, and then they were ripped off by the leader of the now deader than a doorknob PDS mod
all this was revealed months back

because it seems like it is pretty obvious to anyone who has ever played homeworld 2 how you collect resources

you mine them the same as in stock homeworld 2
why do you ask?

absolutely NOTHING was borrowed, adapted, recycled or used from the Complex mod
our mod is 180 degrees completely opposite from that mod.
complex takes hours to get anywhere, ours is made to be played fast. Complex bores one to death, TPOF keeps you on the edge of your seat from the opening moments till the game is over.
we have absolutely nothing in common with complex
in fact, if you want to be accurate you need to realize that Complex borrowed a couple of ship models off of us, with the agreement we could use their stuff. we however used nothing of theirs. so if you see some ships in this mod that remind you of some in complex, its because they approached us and wanted to use them, not the other way around

this problem was addressed in a patch i made and put out
the interceptors and bombers firepower and armor is made more realistic in it

its very difficult to create a custom campaign
campaign is playable in the mod, just the same old campaign with our ships though

you need to tell us your system specs before we could even begin to help you figure out what is going on

LOOK PEOPLE BEFORE WE CAN EVEN ATTEMPT TO ADDRESS WHATEVER PROBLEM YOU ARE HAVING, WE NEED SOMETHING TO TELL US WHAT MIGHT BE CAUSING POTENTIAL PROBLEMS
