I actually like the look of the D79H-TC, and also the pilotable G79H-TC/MA, as 343 went with a more "Old Fashioned" look then with it's earlier D77/D77H models. The earlier pelicans are meant to look like small transport vessels, Which it does. But I get the sense that 343 is trying to mix some reality into the series, as much of the technology has been stripped. The new pelicans remind me of the Hind, which as many of us know, is both a transport AND attack heli. the back is a bit funny to me, but I prefer the new pelicans.

Believe me, I'm not THAT stupid. I blew it up with what was left of the rest of the fleet.

Concerning the fleet action, I noticed the team was able to change the way the ships 'fly', and was curious if they could modify the way the fleet engaged targets, so they try to stay a certain distance away. Is it possible, or is that one of the 'hardcoded' portion of its programming?

Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the fact the flood is a stubborn bastard. I just found it a bit strange that the flood swarm gets to the first planet held by it's target, wrecks it, then ambles about in deep orbit of the place. not taking it over, not moving to the next planet, just not doing anything else.

And concerning the UNSC pathway bit: The only way I found to effectively fight is to let the individual unit's do their own thing. the only problem is that the AI seems to sometimes forget it's in a fight for it's life, and opens itself up for a broadside for no reason.

Not to mention that the units, when presented with a flood swarm, will try to charge THROUGH the swarm, infecting themselves in the process. Is there any reason for this?

I have some 'comments' about the current build-

1.There seems to be a problem with your flood path. I don't know if you do it on purpose, but in my experience, the flood gets to a planet held by the target, obliterates the ever loving **** out of it, then just stays there. and does so for the rest of the game. I had one instance where they took out a planet, and left the MAC platform on the other side of the planet alone, for the entire game.

2. I KNOW there is a problem with the UNSC unit's pathway. I don't know about you, but if I see a large amount of badguys that take over my fellow ships, my first choice is not to try to charge in willy nilly, unlike my ships, who are under the belief that feeding one's self to the undying mushy void never get's old. Also, if I cannot trust my ships to not kill themselves, I find it hard to try to use them. I got to the point I preferred to encounter forerunners because then I could take over and not loose as many ships.

Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE the UNSC unit's, I just find the "Can't give the 'engage targets' command for people I cannot command efficently" a bit annoying.

3. I hate to be nit-picky about this, but could you get the communities help on the voice acting? the Phoenix (Colony) made me want to become a mass-murderer. Cheerful? Good. Sweet enough for a diabetic Coma? not so good.

the Orion was a 'russian' tsundere hard-*** that needed original lines. Yes, 'Wake me when you need me' is a good line; It's just that MC doesn't utter that for another... 10 years?

And I was glad (GLAD I SAY!) when the Thermopylae got infected, the stuck up, holier-then-thou (Though they ALL were a little stuck up...) prick. I just think there is more to a commander then "I hate my superiors". I also found it a bit strange to hear the same three/ four voice actors doing the unit's.

That's good. I always thought that the French 'Defensive Cannon' was a bit on the short side for range. Though I must confess to using the old Cannon/ generator trick in the last allied mission on earth...

Maybe having a true Cannon with lower firing rate and accuracy, but higher range? Also maybe work it so that it's sight is smaller then it's firing range, more around it's minimum firing distance? Unless that would be too hard to work around, in which case, forget I said it.

I was wondering...

Would it be possible to make a level that you had to hold off the enemy for a period of time? The SURVIVAL2 map mod showed it was possible with the Territory Expansion mod. Does this mod support TE2.02?

Because I would pay cash money for that.

Well, I don't know how well I could Do the rest, but I might be able to help with the UI design. (Though GIMP can't do EVERYTHING PS can...)

I was thinking that the UNSC would be 'Edgy' Blues and blue-whites with reds (Bad guys) and yellows thrown in the 'Battle Data'. Very... Spartan. (Heh, SPARTAN...)

The Covenant would be PURPLE. LOTS AND LOTS OF FLOWING PURPLE. But also have like problems with the purposefully put into the UI (I.E. Artifacts, 'Holes' in the image. But subtle. ) To Bring home the fact that while they are imitative, the Covenant is in fact NOT Inventive.

Forerunner: Like the Covenant, but without the UI errors and more White, like 'Almost Hard to see' White. The Forerunners seem to love hard light.

The Flood: Sort of like a combination of the UNSC and the Covenant. Hardish edges with some flowing script, but green with almost overly distracting UI errors. The flood, while powerful, does not know the term 'preventive maintenance'.

But that's just my thoughts.
