I'm happy to hear that. Seems like this could shape up to be a little like Ultima Online except with more dynamic crafting and NPC interactions.

I'm in this for the gameplay so it really doesn't matter to me. That said, I think you're making the only choice you really can if you want to expand the animation library. I would assume this will also make shadows a lot easier in the future.

Looks amazing so far. I suspect this is not the case, but I'll ask anyway: will it be possible to host a local server just to play with a friend or two? It sounds like you can do a lot just with NPCs, so I would enjoy playing by myself or with just a few people.
