WARNING!!!
The Desura Version has the wrong Checksum and crashes after some time. The problem is that the GameInfo folder is not deleted when the patch is applied.
To Fix this download the patch und follow the Instructions:
1) Go to your SoGE 2.0E folder and delete the GameInfo folder.
2) Extract the contents of this rar file to your SoGE folder. When prompted to overwrite files, hit yes.

I had the same Problem. Click install as Demo, it will than say that there are files. Click Verify and install missing ones. After that it will download DirectX. Then finally you are finished.
