I think the size of the material is too small. Since you are using Blender, you will probably have to unwrap the vase and save a 512x512 image, then use photoshop to create a texture
Thanks for the advice! :-) Well, I'll be aiming for more compact textures and models anyway. The fewer vertices it has, the smaller (yet still usable) textures, and the smoother the looks are, the finer. :-)
Haha, no, just applied a material and a texture on it without any unwrapping processes.
The thing is it was meant to be that way since the texture doesn't have patterns. Blender by copying the texture the way it is presented here created ceramic patterns by itself. ;-)
You can also tell blender how often it should repeat the texture etc.
You uploaded some tutos by a guy I dont remember on the moddb blender side. I think he made some tutos about that.^^

Yeah, I dont know what you excactly did. Have you unwrapped it by making seams or do you only apllied a texture on it?
