Driv3r is a game that brought utter frustration to me when it first came out. I never had a chance to play it on my own PC since my specs were utterly terrible at the time.

When I did get the chance to play it, though I was utterly disappointed. The campaign was far from being good and the gun-play is so clunky it's not just awkward to look at. The game is riddled with many bugs and glitches which can easily ruin the immersion, too. An example:
You drive around and cause a violent car-accident in which the other driver dies. You step out the vehicle and shoot his wreck to pieces just to add insult to injury. The radar displays police vehicles coming towards you and the crime scene... what do you do?
Hint: Absolutely nothing. Stow away your weapon and watch how incompetent the police is. They are utterly useless on foot so that you can get away with ANYTHING unless they close around you.

Now, the game does have redeeming factors. The car-physics and the damage model is really nice. The free-ride mode, despite it's immersion-breaking glitches, is fun for that very reason. Plus it's coupled with a Film-Director mode (which Rockstar Games later copied for GTA IV and GTA V) in which you can direct your own little movies based on replays.

So despite it's terrible campaign (which is mostly due to the awful mission gameplay, not much due to the story or voice-acting) and odd glitches and bugs, you can certainly get fun out of this especially if you like non-scripted sandboxy gameplay in Free Ride mode style.

This is the definitive way to experience arena shooters.
Improved air-control, re-balanced weapons and huge customization options make this the go-to for any match.
