1. Download the bloodthirsty mod from this moddb site.

2. Create a new folder and extract the .rar file to this folder.

3. Open the zzz_bloodthirsty_zzz.iwd file using 7zip. Right-clicking on the .iwd file and choosing "open with 7zip" works as well.

4. Locate the folder titled "weapons," right-click on it, and then click on delete.

6. Next, locate the folder titled "sound" and click on it. Find a file inside of the sound file titled "music." Delete the music file. Deleting these two files will prevent corruption and glitches during gameplay.

(Optional)To remove bloodthirsty's menu background, open zzzzbloodthristyzzz with with winrar/winzip, go to folder images, and delete file called background_american_w.iwi

7. Drag and drop the zzz_bloodthirsty-zzz.iwd file into the Call of Duty 2 main folder in the same location as the Back2Fronts mod.

8. Now, start the game. I don't recommend loading a save though. I got an error the first time because I tried loading a save from where I left off last. Start any level from the very beginning. This has worked for me so far on everything for every single level. It's a lot more fun with B2Fs and it just made COD 2 even better.

I have only seen that when trying to launch from the program files rather than through steam. If you have to adjust which file is launching, go to steam library and right click COD2. hit properties, and change the launch settings there.

I already posted the details of how to get this mod to be compatible with Back2Fronts on the main comments section. (I actually discovered it from the b2f comments page, but no one mentioned it here so I'm spreading awareness)

Either way, it looks like your still pretty far off from release (According to the other comments). Would you consider releasing what you have so far, and than releasing a more permanent version when your finished?

This could also serve as beta to make sure everything is running smoothly.

I really like the mod, and I'm pairing it with Back2fronts, however I prefer using the back2fronts menu screen. Is it possible to use it without that?

This version is compatible after editing with 7-Zip.

1. Download the bloodthirsty mod from this moddb site.

Put all of addon material in the folder you created for back2fronts (with whatever else it asks you to put in there). In order to get the game to launch from the seperate folder (containing the mod), this is easiest to do directly from the steam directory. Right click the game in your steam library and hit properties. Than post the line provided in the main back2fronts readme under "set launch options." - As for the "Players" folder mentioned in the readme, that folder is not created until the game is launched at least once (This is true for both modes, multiplayer and singleplayer, it won't create one for it unless it's been succesfully launched). So I'd recommend launching the game once before installing the mod.

Don't forget that the mod will not work if you do not correct the hunkmeg usage (RAM usage) - Moddb.com

Is there any way you might consider releasing what you have for 1.1 as a patch and just re-releasing a more complete version when your ready? It's been a very long time and I kinda just wanna explore the stuff you've mentioned finishing already. Not to mention some of this stuff sounds like proper/useful fixes.

It will download either upon opening the game or upon turning on steam depending on the update settings (Under Properties) for that game. After the update is complete, install this patch.

Uninstall battlefront 2 from Steam, and than go to your common folder for Steam (Program Files x86/Steam/Steam apps/Common) and delete the battlefront 2 folder. This should delete all remnants of the game. Than reinstall.

Steam automatically installs the 1.1 patch. You only need to install the R129 1.3 Patch. Moddb.com (Do not change the install path, it should auto-detect your steam folder and install in the battlefront 2 folder. Simply double check that it follows the correct path to go through the steam directory.)

After everything is set, you should be good to go to put modded files in your addon folder. But make sure you always read the readme given by mod authors as not all mods are the same.

I know this has been asked, but there are roughly 50 missions and there is no way to select specific missions or at least missions you've completed (Only load saves or restart from the first mission). Cod2 had a menu, is it possible to implement something similar. I know the mod is centered around playing things in chronological order, so maybe rather than cod2's system of dividing it by country, you could divide it by year.

Perfect example, I really want to replay the dunkirk missions, but I have no way to load tgem without restarting the whole campaign. A menu would be ideal....

No, just launch the executable (file downloaded) it's an automated installer for the mod.

Yes, if you follow the installer it says to install in Battlefront II folder, not a sunfolder because it will locate the addon folder and install inside and out of it. Recommend wiping and doing a clean install.

Make sure your 1.3 is installed before you install bf3. Recommend uninstalling the game (if steam delete the cache saved under the common section (it stays regardless of "deleting local data button") just keep the excecutables from your downloads. Once fully uninstalled, reinstall the 1.3 and select all the jazz about HUD settings and than install bf3.

Did anyone else notice a majot performance hit when playing? Before I could play with most settings on high and anti-aliasing at 4x- although shadows was low. I had to lower most settings to low and disable anti-aliasing to cut out lag. I have a quad-core 2ghz laptop with integrated graphics (I believe 2gb) and 8gb Ram. It is by no means a gaming computer but it ran the game pretty well before...

Also, X2 had awesome voices strings. Although his health felt a little low for a hero.

I don't know how I feel about the lack of health indicators for the enemy... I feel that if you are at least locked on to something than you should get the info. It's a little difficult to determine effectiveness of weapons or remaining health of an enemy through guess. That being said it's more realistic, which is why I said the info should only appear when locked on to a target.

OH, almost forgot, the ambient sounds are a nice feature, however a couple spots they either clashed or they didn't extend far enough. For example, the downed larty had burning sounds, awesome touch but you didn't hear it unless you were close and it faded in and out to quickly. I think you would start to hear it around the corner of the building, like right at the end. It's a burning vehicle with metal popping and fuel etc, noisy. The effect fit fine just didn't do a good fade in and not a large enough area of effect.- Sometimes the speeder sound played over it.

Did you put the install path as Program Filesx86>Steam>SteamApps>Common>Star Wars Battlefront II

Try running it again, but confirm the file path. Make sure 1.3 installed correctly, are your mods maps colored in Instant Action? Can you play campaign Modes through Instant Action? If not than 1.3 did not install properly.

Dude, the point of a Beta is to test the game and report bugs, Alpha is when the devs are still in "Production" but it's playable. Beta is an open test to report issues. I love the game and the mode, I still think there are things that could be addressed. I have seen droids walking through the grounds on several occasions, when I went to space (transition was PERFECT) I ended up walking through a wall/door in the "comm room?" and random grey lines that look like bullets appear in the left center base.- ITS A BETA!

I think the droids should be OP but low health, with the exception of Super Battle Droids and Grevious- They get OP damage and health. This is exactly how things are portrayed in the Movies/Shows.

That being said, I could tell if I died from snipers or if it was an enviro issue. Often I didn't see bolts, and sometimes no "kill cam."

Personally, while I love the extremely difficult damage ratings, some of it isn't high enough. Lets face it, a shotgun to the gut will kill you, one or two shots, three for heroes is spot on. Snipers, while I freakin menace on the enemy side, I noticed it still isn't one shot one kill, and single zoom felt way off. Personally, I think Pax Empirica had snipers spot on, stationary with a scroll zoom. One Shot One Kill, two for heroes (Unless head). Textures are sexy though.

I think I saw some strange texture issues random gray "bolts" shot across, sometimes solid lines like a sniper bolt but fast. I couldn't tell if it was gunfire or texture bugs because the color wasn't red or blue.

Explosive, particularly missiles are missing the explosive animation. Same issues with red barrels, although the effect (death and ragdoll) is still there.

Anakin/El Fabricio, would you be able to create a separate page on the Legacy "forum" for bug reports? After initial play-testing there are already a couple things that I noticed, and I think the community would like to take this opportunity to report these issues while they're still in development, we're just restricted on where we can post so dialogue is getting kinda cluttered.

Dude thats the fourth time you asked I told you the clone colors dont change and the LAAT/i is most likely in game but more than likely the bf2 model so it cannot stop in middair. I cant tell if your a troll or genuinely interested, and if it's that important let yourself be surprised when full version releases
