I recognize this feature, if one of your troops does super awesome in a battle and they are top tier, your character will start a conversation with them and you can choose to make them a hero.

You can find Bolton unique troops in taverns in the north, Dreadfort spearmen. The Northemn Yeomen archers have the Bolton style helm too if you want some more Bolton looking dudes for your army.

I'm liking the special Volantis troops, pretty cool. The Golden Company and the Targaryen troops were a little disappointing when I saw them. Hope to see more updates, one of the best and better mods out there for the game and the lore from the books and a little spice from the show really bring it all together nicely, thank you for your work guys.

Vaegir Knights don't have gauntlets

Just to add in, heavily armored soldiers or knights in full plated armor didn't really need shields because they had armor all over.

Spelling errors with Blanchefleur story, 2nd page, "The king the constructed an elaborate.. ", I believe "the" is the word then, and is mispelled as "amd".

The reach has one of those, but you'll have to switch in-between. Good thing you get the "second outfit" option.
