Will it work with say BioMod or Shifter?

Google said this couldn't be done, but since then BioMod has been updated etc. YES, it does work with HDTP and New Vision. Here is how.

Install HDTP and New Vision, the order really doesn't matter, and say yes to Kentie.

Install BioMod as the instructions in the README says.

Now, Kentie will load DeusEx.u from HDTP, so go into your Deus Ex installation folder, then HDTP/System and rename DeusEx.u to say _DeusEx.u . Now Kentie will use Biomods DeusEx.u which is located in the System folder. Since BioMod is based on the newest Shifter it will detect the new HDTP textures and use those, great.

Happy gaming.

After having played the mod some I have some more thoughts. I really miss the way Biomod/Shifter's does augmentation and makes them "passive", what you call "Automatic".

I have nothing against having for example "Microfibral Muscle" require power when I lift heavy objects, but I don't like having "A.D.S./Run Silent/Speed Enhancement/Aqualung and Environmental Resistance" being "Active" and draning power for just being idle. Could you look into making and option so that they can be "automatic". Would be great!

Hello, my 2 cents. Looks like you have done a hell of a job with updating Deus Ex, I stand in awe of what you have done. I do have some suggestions:

1: I thought having two "Ballistic Protection" augs where a little strange, keep the passive one and do something else for the active one.

2: Maybe increased strength (through say "Microfibral Muscle") also should decrease recoil? Would add realism.

3: "Medical" skill should also upgrade the amount of power you get from "Bioelectric cell". Also you should get more points than only 10.

4: Maybe have the "Spy drone" do more like in Biomod? Pushing buttons, hacking computers etc.?

Would also be nice (and ofcourse a lot of work) to have a mode for more realism and more spy-like.

1: remove most weapon mods. Keep silencer, scope and laser
2: you can unmod weapons to get your mods back
3: found ammo has less bullets
4: JCD starts out more skilled. Still untrained gameplay wise, but untrained also gives bonuses to weapon accuracy etc. I always found it strange that JCD in the beginning is a total noob, he has undergone a lot of training and is augmented!
5: start out with less maximum hp (he is augmented, but still organic versus mech)
6: upgrade skills in general
7: augs use less energy

If these implemented you would feel like more of spy, relying more on your inventory, skills and augs. No weapon mods, less ammo etc. would also add realism that an agent use the weapons he finds when he is out of ammo for the weapons he brought to the mission. Now you seldom pick up new weapons, since you have upgraded the ones you have with mods and are trained with that group. Making JCD better overall with all weapon groups would combat this.
