This is the HD Texture Patch, so it only overwrites the games original textures.
HD Edition replaces more than just textures (Models, portraits, e.t.c.) and is a complete rehaul of the game's original art.

If I'm paying $60 USD for a game, I'd like it to be a complete game. At the moment the DLCs double that price just for minor content and things that should have been in the game. Sorry but if you're going to release a game do it properly. All this does is encourage people to pirate the game to unlock the DLCs for proper enjoyment.
Yea I'd rather see a LOTR Total War developed from actual fans who's interest is not in money. The amount of DLC's for the newest total war games are ridiculous lol.
Well our goal is to stick to the vanilla scheme of things so the gold HA is staying, if we changed this than the competitive community wouldn't use it lol.
Our setting for the Dwarf faction is during the time of the Hobbit, so Brand is not likely to appear (at least not yet).
That could be the skirmish faction bug. Load the other mod and switch to either Men, Mordor, or Isengard as your faction then try again. Custom Create a Heroes from Edain can also cause crashes with other mods I believe.

Yes to the Hobbit Campaign. A demo mission may be available in the next release if possible.
Well what's the main difference? We mostly have used the concepts for the Dol Guldur armor set seen in BOTFA for the Gundabad Orcs.
Also regarding the limited special unit Gundabad will have 2 choices, Fire Wyrms (Replacements for Fire Drakes) and a new hero horde that we may reveal later ;).

The alternate formation for the gondorian swords and pike combo is just as you described.
The Nazgul will be futher diversified in the next release, we've given them some unique powers for each one. The WK has tougher armor I believe making him more difficult to kill.
I really don't think Heavy Armor for orcs is necessary they are a very good spam unit. Haradrim Spearmen were done to replace the Easterlings as the basic anti cav unit, so naturally I thought the candidate should have been an Evil men unit.
We'll probably use the current Easterling model since that one is seriously outdated :P. As for the voice set we'll see.
And the ships giving money is a feature, to encourage players to actually take a dock lol.
