This page has been quiet for a while... any news?
You guys are driving me crazy waiting for an update! Thought it would be a christmas update not a new year one!
It's looks very influenced by an amalgamation of Skyrim, Mount and Blade, The Witcher, and Dark Souls. I think it's looking to better than Skyrim. All the good bits included but none of the bad parts :)

As disappointing as I was with MERP ending, this may just make up for it :D
I have a few questions though regarding the game play concepts. I noticed that in the description this game is defined as being open world but with regions opening as chapters. I assume this means chapters in the story? So say If I follow the "Main" Quest (If there is one) that I travel to lands in a set order? What if I don't follow the main quest, how does this effect the world around me.
This has been described as a dynamic and active world that doesn't revolve around the player and that certain events will happen even if you are not there. How does this effect the regions opening as chapters if I'm not part of anything which makes them available to explore? Am I still able to explore them?
The events are described as being data based as well. How does this work out with a dynamic world then, as well the "chaptered regions"? Unless they are randomly generated, and does this apply to factions in there decisions? (e.g war and diplomacy).
As a player if I don't take part in certain major events. Does this affect the outcome of the world. If I go to one of these will the ending be different? Or am I as a player just an observer, reading a book in the form of a video game? As a dynamic world which moves along at its own pace will there be a massive timeline are scripted events or will the faction system and events system be based on a Mount and blade style sandbox? I'd like to know how we can be part of a world which lives and breathes at its own pace, possibly going through all the major battles, causes and effects ect; whilst I'm wondering through the wilderness at my own pace. And If I do decide to get caught in the story, would I again how any major affect on what happens?

Well I don't know much about the CryEngine. My mechanics like skyrim I mean say: Combat, Gameplay, Levelling style. Will it basically be an Action Rpg?
One thing which would be good to see is real time ship travelling/combat, horse combat. Just some ideas really, fully appreciate if they are too hard to script or it's just not in your interests for this game. :)
If the cryengine is within a beginners scope of learning, then I could maybe submit an application after a while?
How big is this map compared to (for comparison measures) Skyrim?
Will this mod have the same kind of mechanics as Skyrim? But without it's limitations?
Couldn't MERP be rebuilt in the CryEngine?
And hasn't it been established that Warner Bros haven't actually got a solid claim as you aren't re-distributing the mod for profit. How come the MERP has decided to give up on MERP as an idea?
