I can't imagine Game's Workshop having any problem with it as they have been extremely liberal with the use of their IP lately. Their new CEO is also pretty progressive, but I think the issue is whether or not if your message will fall into the bin of a thousand others.

Even if you did continue the mod without contacting Game's Workshop you are extremely low on their radar. They'd much rather target ****** spin-off games on the app store that are actually making money from their property. I'd also recommend trying to contact the creator of Galaxy At War & Winter Contingency to ask how they are getting around the copyright infringement. (But I understand your concerns.)

Unfortunate to see the mod go, seeing as how Games Workshop has been fairly liberal with giving out the license of 40K as well. Any chance you could simply change the name of the mod? (IE Galaxy At War, Winter Contingency).

Is it late enough in development to tell how well melee units will work under AI control? I know GAW has Jedi/Sith units that operate fairly similarly, and more often than not the AI will just run around and hide. COWARDICE

Download the mod, open the zip file, place the W40k file into your mods folder, then launch AS2, enable the mod through the settings, and there you have it.

Any key files for the buildings, IG, and chaos being overwritten in the upcoming update? Working on a workshop mission, and I just want to make sure that I won't have any conflicts when the mod gets updated.

Although I don't recommend this unless you know what you're doing. If you have C++ installed on your computer you can always go to the mod file, and edit the MaxGameVersion of the mod.info file. (Which is currently 3.260.0)

Keep in mind that might force some anonymous bugs, so don't blame it on the creator. It might just be outdated, as you're forcing it to run on a new version.

I can easily see the mod having a big future. IMO, Assault Squad 2 has a far better/in-depth RTS than Forces Of Corruption. Development might move slowly, but what I've seen so far is really promising.

Blue Lieutenants are correct, and so are the Red Captains. Sergeants were designated with a "Olive Green" trim on their armor.

As this mod grows it continues to amaze me. Good job on it so far, looks great and seems promising. I've played a few rounds with a few friends, and got a good 2v2 going on some maps. Quite fun up until the battles seemed to end in stalemates as the battle would quickly turn into war of attrition.

I look forward to the update. (Also, Garry's Mod has a massive influx of Clone Wars models on there. I'm sure most could be ported to Maya.)

Damn this looks amazing, nice to see that we have a mod similar to Battlefront being made by/for the community. Wish I could assist, but I'm afraid I don't know the Unreal Engine too well. I have a giant folder of Star Wars sounds if that would even help the slightest. Sounds from Republic Commando, and other sources that are Star Wars based.
