This is a great advance. Steam has integrated some more support for mods, but not nearly enough. This could be the thing that helps mods continue to thrive in the age of auto-updating DLC and patches.
I really want to see your article about tangent space vs. object space, sounds interesting.
wow, somebody found colorcorrectionui!!
No, not a bad thing. It's yet another reason to love your art direction. :) You seem to take inspiration from miyazaki and Maschinen Krieger which is just awesome in my books.
reminds me of Maschinen Krieger Maschinenkrueger.com
You should add somebody to write updates to the job listings because the writing here is awful. Go ahead and write like you would talk instead of just adding in "upon" "attain" and "thus". You look like a fool who is trying to act "professional". Also,"Welcome to another update from Anarchy Productions, in regards to the modification entitled as the Assassination Mod, which is currently in development by us." is probably the worst sentence I have ever read.
I love it! You guys really took a page from hayeo miyasaki, and it looks awesome.
I agree with what you're saying, but I think you've used bad examples. You've just presented a couple stories, but those aren't total ideas. I mean, executing on a story is important too, but I think it's just a foolish to be the idea man who says 'oh, we should have a gun with a rainbow laser on it and it can help you go through puzzles'. Stories are a dime a dozen. Full game ideas are a little more, maybe a cent a piece, but it's execution that is hard to come by. There you are right.
Looks awesome! I though 'god, I have to buy this' then I realized I already have! YAY!
yeah, the submarine seems hard. You can always make it more complex with adding slightly different levels and ladders, but that's not going to do your AI any favors. Good luck with that, can't wait to see what you come up with.
that's really tight!
this is what Valve did too. for all their voice actors they hired people who naturally talk like that, and then have them be themselves instead of getting people to put on a voice. that way it's much more natural and I think stuff can evolve from the script to sound less rigid and the charachter can come alive.
sick. i just have a bias against text because without explanation it usually means "unable to get voice actor". can't wait to see what's next. actually, if if I'm correct in what I think you're trying to do with text, I think it's a really awesome. Something I should consider in a project I'm doing...
that was really great :) If you got good voice actors and some better sound design it would be amazing.
the displacement looks really natural. good job!
Great looking map, love the Johnny Cash :)
the video is broken :(
besides dear esther of course, right ;)
Dude, play STALKER. That game is so amazing you will crap yourself.
Really good! Might want to round out some of those rocks in the foreground though.
Thanks for the link. I love the soundtrack so I'll be sure to check out her stuff.
So badass. I am so buying medieval 2 now.
****, that happened to me too. That being said, I was trying to build the Petronas Towers. So then I just built Harry Potter on a broomstick out of Lego. That was sick. Also, what process are you using to build this? Are you doing it in source or making them props and importing the geometry? Thanks!
It's in the boots a lot I'm sure. Plus, using squares has way fewer polys than triangles. very nice.
looking really good.
Delta Sector. Some of the things they've done in that engine are up to Cry Engine 2 standards, except for the guns. It's all so consistent, I think it has it.
The visor is straight out of Halo. I like the predatorish one better
Wonderful. It's so dark and creepy yet with the hint of color. It doesn't detract from the creepiness, only adds to it because of the reminder that there is a brighter time.
Looks good. With a 3D sky box more detailed textures and ample amounts of props it will look great!
