"Even better: it’s no longer in Source"
Smart move. Don't forget to give Cerebrate a pat on the back every time you see him. I get a feeling he single-handedly saved Lift.
This remains to be the most amazing looking Source mod I've ever seen. Keep up the great work!
Looks freakin' awesome.
Reminds me a lot of the Condemned series.
Nice tutorials!
Also, I think Ctrl+M allows you to specify exact numbers for rotate, scale, and translate.
Holy crap that looks awesome. I don't normally like space combat games, but even I want to play that. Looks really intense.
Wow, that's a hell of a lot of enhancements. I congratulate you. Definitely looking forward to this.
Damn. That's some serious engine enhancements you got going on there. Glad that Jedi Knight modding is still alive. Looking forward to this!
Those Wraith's look awesome! Those will be sweet once they get in game! Looking forward to it!
His name is Squall, but he used the alias Leon in Kingdom Hearts. And it is Final Fantasy 8, not 7.
Of all the HL2 Stargate mods, this one definitely takes the cake. Much more polished.
Pretty much describes most of the console gamers I know, with a few exceptions
Bunnyjen, I think the point NullSoldier is trying to make is that most console gamers don't understand the requirements of what it takes to make a game and just think it sounds like a cool idea.
It may be common sense to someone who understands computers, but not everyone has that knowledge. Consoles have exposed video games to those without as much tech knowledge, and a lot of people get the idea of wanting to make a game. As NullSoldier said, once they see what actually goes into it, they turn away.
There are also some things that people need to be told, otherwise it just doesn't sink in.
Indeed, it is a very good book. My school uses it for it's Game class.
Just started playing the demo. I gotta say, this is the most amazing ALPHA demo I've ever seen. Very polished. Can't wait for the full version!
Man, I wanted this game really bad beforehand. Now I want it 10x more!
I have a server hosted. I've had some people asking to enable cheats because they start out with only the knife. First off, YOU NEED TO CHOOSE A LOADOUT! When you spawn, hit your "select loadout" button. If you don't know what that is, go to your options menu. Then you can choose a loadout, and then you won't have just the knife.
Now we just need them to update the game to the Orange Box engine and add some achievements!
Well, I put one up. It seems to have trouble verifying Steam UserID Tickets. You can try joining, but if the problem persists then I guess it will only work with Listen Servers.
If this works as server binaries as well, I can host a server for this if anyone is interested.
At least he's willing to give the source code to someone who can actually do something with it.
Is the game still being worked on? Haven't heard anything in a VERY long time now. Website is down and no new ModDB profile for the new engine.
Wow, this looks amazing. Great job guys!
There are servers up, but not as many people play very much anymore.
I could host a server. Their homepage is gone, but they have some forums that are up. They are currently working on version 2.00
Yeah, I worked over at NoA last summer. I gotta tell you, at least 90% of the games that come in are pieces of crap.
This game looks pretty good though: Gametrailers.com
Heck yeah. OMF is the granddaddy of all side-scroll fighters!
